Tennessee has the nations second longest winning streak. Tennessee has beaten 3 ranked teams during the streak and 1 more that became ranked after UT beat them during the same season (V Tech, 25 current AP poll)

As far as the polls go, Tennessee deserved to be dropped big after the App St. game. However back to back wins against top 25 teams should move them up even more but it didn't. The reason is a log jam at the top of the polls with undefeated teams and a hot start from Louisville.

Tennessee benefits in schedule though and can play their way into the top 4. Most teams require others to lose to move up or like a Houston they only have 1 game remaining that can even help.

Tennessee truly controls their own destiny.
