Sure, offensive linemen tend to redshirt more than players at other positions, and they tend to handle it pretty well as a group, but its still not easy to get up and go to work every day knowing youre probably not going to play for another year. Its never a given that a player will handle that well.
Boulware handled it well, clearly. He was the first true freshman offensive lineman to have his black helmet staff removed, and coaches and teammates consistently praised his work ethic throughout the season. Thats a good start.
Thats not the only reason coaches are excited about Boulware, though. On top of being a hard worker, the big kid is talented, as well. Hes strong. Hes got good size for the guard position, and hes not a bad athlete, either.
