You’re using Vanderbilt beating Bama as a reason as to why people shouldn’t take Vanderbilt as a credible threat. That’s nonsensical.Yes and 80% of that stadium was filled with Bama fans when they pulled the upset. They didn't even have enough fans to storm the field and cover the hashmarks. But yet half of the posters on this board think its some spooky stadium that isn't friendly to visiting teams

I've attended games for 40 years off an on depending on where i was living in the world. If you think a fan should be purged because they think a team could be a concern, you might need a little history on football. Teams like Georgia State remind me of why the game is played. We aren't going to walk into the stadium and Vandy congratulate us. Should UT win? Yes. Is Vandy better than normal? Yes. We have lost to worse teams. Being unsure about an outcome does not make one less of a fan. I still remember sitting in the stadium as a kid watching UT kick a game tying field goal at expiration to get a tie in 1985 against Georgia Tech. That is my favorite team of all time by the way. Those type of memories are what I apparently mistook for making a fan. Apparently the only fan is the one that thinks we are going to win the National Championship every year. Its imperative that we purge these scared so called fans who are crying about Vandy
Gotta learn the “rules of fandom”:I've attended games for 40 years off an on depending on where i was living in the world. Should be good prep for a “possible” trip to Happy Valley to see Vandy’s former coach.Cold Saturday

Not very cold .....but maybe cold enough that the ball doesn't fly quite as far which might improve Nico's long ball accuracy.Cold Saturday

If they get every drive aided by penalties like they did vs Texas it will be hard to beat them bad. I watched that game and the announcers said every Vandy TD or FG was aided by a penalty to keep drives alive. I watched the game and they defiantly got the favorable whistle. I was pulling for them to knock off Texas. Those penalties helped them stay close and like someone else said helped them keep the ball and time of possession and play keep away from Texas. Even though that was a 3 point game and for someone pulling for Texas to lose. It just never felt like the game was in jeopardy. And they beat Bama and got close to beating the Almighty Tejas.
Your arrogance is noted, but what exactly is your point?
I'm not skeert of Vandy, I ain't skeert of nobody, and I'm confident we win this one, but it's stupid to act like this game has already been won. Lol.
Errbody done gone lost they Mines round here.
I think we have a good chance to shut him down completely like they did, but the Georgia game has made me leery of that idea. Obviously, it's hard to make plays against Georgia, but we got ZERO pressure on Beck, so I'm leery. If we don't pressure and contain Pavia, I think the game this weekend will be a nail biter. I hope that's not the case, because with everything we have on the line it'd be hard for everyone to continue playing loose if the game is close. Tense situations is when false starts and dropped passes tend to manifest. The similarity to us and the Cocks is our prolific edge play. Carolina got after Pavia. We must do the same.
This is the same UT team that inexplicably lost a game to a mediocre Arkansas team and then complained that they didn't know why they came out so flat. No excuses on Saturday. If you can't beat Vandy, you don't deserve to go to the playoffs........and I'm looking at you Alabama.Kinda like one year when Clemson was good and they went to Dook for a road game. They talked about how weird and difficult it was to play in a small, quiet stadium.
Hopefully, the Vols realize how much they have to play for and will come out hot and stomp the Commodes to pieces
Small, low energy stadium makes it easier to sneak up on teams who are used to a high energy environment. It lulls them to sleep.During the renovation, many of the previous 41,000 seats are not available this season.
So it will be quite cozy on Saturday.
