North Carolina has been pumping out some serious talent lately and one of the next high level prospects in line looks to be Paul McNeil of the Garner Roads 15U program.

I actually happened upon him back in April and was impressed with his 6-foot-5 size, ideal basketball frame and feel for the game. What impressed more was his jump shot. Finding him during an hour where I was just hoping to find a decent game was nice.

On Saturday, he was a guy that I made time to see to him and he was every bit as impressive during a second look as he was the first time around.

His ability to shoot the ball from deep (he had seven threes), steady approach and overall maturity was well beyond his years. We are talking about a kid that only recently turned 15 so you never want to get too crazy, but McNeil looks like a legitimate high major prospect and a player that will surely find a spot in our initial ranking of the class of 2024 after the summer ends.

Tennessee was first in line to offer a scholarship after watching him on Friday night and they won’t be the last.
