Jeremy Pruitt updates Tennessee's plan for black jerseys
As it turns out, those black jerseys won’t be seen this season, but could be seen in the future. No. 18 Tennessee (2-1) hosts Kentucky (1-2) on Saturday for a Noon Eastern Time kickoff (TV: SEC Network) at Neyland Stadium, a game that was originally scheduled to be played on November 7 before the SEC went to a 10-game, conference-only schedule.
“You know what, I learned a really good lesson as a head football coach,” Pruitt said during his weekly press conference on Monday. “You know, there are contracts with people that do our apparel that we wear. It’s something (wearing black jerseys) that our players and our staff want to do. It’s something that we’re not going to be able to do from a standpoint of a contract.
