C - Grindlinger/Clark/Stone
1B - Clark/Stone
2B - likely portal
SS - likely portal
3B - likely portal
LF - Brown
CF - likely portal (maybe Tracey)
RF - Eisfelder/portal
Koeninger can come in and compete at SS or 3B if he makes it to campus. Condon would probably be CF if he makes it. Dugan another guy who could play in those 2B/3B/SS spots, but hes probably not quite a day 1 starter in the SEC. Obviously would love to have Wright back for CF, but we will see. I think Grindlinger and Clark both catch games every week. Clark will play 1B when he doesn’t catch, with Stone likely backing him up and then factoring DH on days that Grindlinger/Clark are both in the field. I think they really like Eisfelder and he’s got a chance to play in the OF - Taylor Tracey as well.
On the mound, Appy and Mack will be weekend starters. They’ll go find another starter in the Blanco mold in the portal (experienced and steady). In the pen, I’d expect Abraham, Haas, Day, Estes back for now. Possibly Baiotto/Deering too. Some of these guys will take big leaps - all very talented. I think Estes and Haas give you great LHP relief options. Day they like as a matchup lefty. Of course, these guys could leave if they feel like they won’t have the reps they want. Tons of talent in the signing class on the mound - far more than position players. Grindlinger and Koeninger actually both big time pitching prospects as well. McCarthy, Sullivan, Morse, Putnam are all big time pitching prospects and draft risks. McCarthy/Sullivan probably both good enough to help. Morse/Putnam a little more raw, but both huge frames who will be pushing upper 90s velo.
