They must have the numbers though show some past consistency where they played before. That was neither Robertson or Wolfenbarger neither had that type resume. So those two along with the unfortunate player we had to let go has given us nothing made freshman play more than they should. The freshman were going fairly well for a couple games and have hit a wall again. Guess that is the way it happens for most even Chavez. Hopefully when we play Vandy Galvan will have a bad game she looks like the top freshman in the SEC and she was an unknown.

I was talking more high school recruiting, they could have consistent numbers, but are ranked low. If it’s the portal, just go on the film.

I don’t know what players are really getting paid. But I’ll say she’s getting what players like Jazzy, and Saniyah Hall are getting. What ever that number is, she’ll get around that same number.

Chavez the rumor is got 1.5 million from Oklahoma I know other high school players see that. Be interesting to see where Smith lands she has been to Louisville, USC, Indiana, and Syracuse. Sure a few more to go sure LSU will get one I suspect. Don't know who we might be getting. Other than about ten players that 2027 class is not as good as 2026 so some teams may try to go more portal if the right players are in there and less of a class of 2027 high schoolers.

I still think she goes to UCLA, we’ll get players in 2027, It just won’t be any of the elite players.

I think were moving slow thus far. Right now if no transfers we got 8 returnees for 2027. Probably wouldn't want to commit very many until April. I wouldn't take more than one or two seniors out of the portal the rest would have to be two year players at least.
You really don't need more than three of what would be called elite players the rest can be good players. Edwards I think is elite add a couple to her we should win with the others all being good players in the future.

Edward’s could be elite, but will the coach put her in position to show it, by taking her in and out of the game?

She will have to or she won't be here. I don't think another season of at least beating a top team or two I mean the real ones will she be able to keep coaching here. Harper got let go for maybe a little better than were doing now at least in the SEC.

Any perceived “freshman wall” must be pushed through or the analogy is not complete. Hopefully we have a few seniors wake tfu. How wonderful to see a group come together on the floor tonight!

We got a great base group next season need to add some super scorers and we would be ready.

That is from the settlement not the entire total funds available from all sources.

We got 5 scholarships maybe more with transfers. What do we need to fill this roster. I say two three tier scorers that are combo guards that have been consistent 35 percent three point shooters. Two strong versatile inside players with some bulk that have a history as strong rebounders and inside scorers.

A more traditional system and less subbing.

Well, I would say Prawl is more of a wing or even a PF in this system, but definitely not a SG (she's at 10% on 3s and 41% on FTs). But otherwise, yeah, I agree with you on what the needs might be.

She’s finding her niche though. Loved her board play today. She was getting after it. That’s definitely where she is useful at this level unless she makes massive changes/improvements to her shot.

Her shot mechanics are rough.

My 2 opinions are the money and the system. I think the money can be figured out, but by having a system where u mass sub every min, is something a lot of elite players won’t want to play in.

Understand, thanks. We had enough money for one elite this year. I’d take one of Edwards level every year or two. On the mass subs, that has not happened much in Q4 which was a positive step. 🤷‍♂️

Having witnessed Coach Caldwell and Coach Lazo sign 4 McDonald All-Americans in 2 recruiting classes (no.2, no.9, no.6/17, and no.20) according to ESPN & 247Sports in addition to 3 Top 50 recruits which were the #1/#2 class in 2025 and #9 class in 2026 while listening to the same 1 to 2 fanatics say over and over in their mind that the team missed out on all elite players is Katt Williams comical.
I mean it is something you literally see and flat out lmao😂😂😂🤙🤙.
