One can understand being disappointed with recruiting losses but the sour grapes laden "they only chose school A,B or C because they out spent Tennessee" is lame, wrong and delusional. I've followed college recruiting for a longtime. No sport generates the worst in fan bases than losing a WBB recruit.

It’s not a recruiting loss when you have signed 15 players in 20 months with the recruiting rankings and honors that Tennessee has.. a bit delusional to expect to sign every single player just because they are being recruited by a staff.
Tennessee recruiting under Coach Caldwell has been elite.

Open your eyes NIL and profit sharing just started a few years ago. We don't have the donors to compete with the oil barons . This is not the 20- teens anymore you can pay players out in the open now. Sure there were schools paying players under the table pryor but many schools have enough to pay a couple high profile players.

Getting her would help, but we’ll also need probably at least 2 All-American type players from the portal at a minimum.

I’m glad most understand not to take most of what is said on this forum serious in threads like this… the constant making up alternate realities is absurd.
Tennessee recruiting classes under Coach Caldwell in 20 months have been arguably the best in WBB. The recruiting rankings prove it.
Fabricated NIL posts in a few days can’t change that.. the takes of haters talking about what players we need can’t change that.
Good thing when you go to actual sports pages people stop talking about this commitment like an hour after it happened because you would think it was a monumental decision if you listened to the few posters in here 👆. Ironically most of them didn’t have much to say when the no.2 player committed to Tennessee on this Tennessee forum.

We signed a lot of players highly rated in high school that did Not live up to their ratings from the portal. Couple absolute bust but good athletes one has about as many fouls as minutes played . We should have taken one better 3 point shooter instead of 2 of the portal.

Then please share what we offered and what they offered. Can’t intelligently argue it either way without that fact set.

I’m not giving up, but if the rumors are true, and we just don’t have the money to compete, why waste our time going after those players. I mean we have the money but if u don’t want to invest it in the women’s basketball program.

Big O is our only recruit we should have spent big money on, the twins said other programs didn’t want to take 2 small guards together, so no reason to overpay for that, well that’s just me, but who knows what they did.

One other thing about the twins. They came in with a well developed NIL portfolio in hand.

We don’t know but Big O is a consensus top 3 player in this class, so for me I would pay her and get in a bidding war if I have to, and that’s the only one I would have done that for of the players we ended up getting. Jazzy would have been another player for example. But maybe they did overpay for other players, at that point jobs need to start being on the line.

Big O is worth the money. The twins are a good package deal. You can't afford to pay ten highly recruited players you've got to be selective to fill out the roster. Like 52 said 2 AA players and good supporting cast. Looking back at last year Im not sure the hockey subbing is going to work against top 10 teams.

We have 1 AA player in Cooper. Spearman and Barker have got to make a Big turnaround to be even considered. Mia could be a freshman AA but that's not the same as upper classemen. You've got to have your best 7-8 playing the 4th quarter in a close game .
