Some great early season matchups already. Top 5/Top 10 teams meeting up. I'm going to my first live women's college volleyball matches tomorrow; UNLV vs 18 TCU, then #1 Nebraska vs #2 Texas. When teams of this caliber come to town, it's worth the extra $$ to watch in person rather than on TV.

Nebraska swept through Texas 3 -0 .

Texas struggled. Lots of errors and had a lot of balls come back onto their side of the net, great blocking by NE. Texas is struggling, a loss to a Big 12 (AzSt) and Big 10 school (NE). Didn't get to 20 points in any set (except 1 against AzSt) and barely escaped TCU 28-23-23. Boy do the Husker fans travel, place was a sea of red.

Almost 8K is impressive. Soccer record crowd, now Volleyball!! Wonder if it's getting more students to attend to get football tickets or a combination of both sports gaining interest. Either way UT has to be at the top of all collegiate sports with fans in the seats. Football, basketball both men and women are top 5 every season. Could volleyball and soccer begin to creep up to top 10 in attendance? Plus baseball and softball. Impressive!!

Volleyball was in the top 10 nationally last season. Crazy to see the growth in that sport.

Beating a Big 10 team in a set 25 to 11 is impressive. I live in Nashville so may try and go see them Sunday when they play Indiana.

I think another record: over 8,000. That’s what the center court marquee/scoreboard was showing on the telecast.

Indiana plays #12 TAMU on Wednesday. IU is top 25, should be a good test for the ladies.
