Removed Zavion Griffin-Haynes as it doesn't seem like we're in the mix there anymore...

Carsyn Baker no longer on the board. Told 247

Entering the February dead period, Baker tells 247Sports that five schools have separated from the pack.

"Georgia, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Kentucky, and Ohio State," Baker listed.

I know RC said Latimer was gonna be a hard pull, but Texas currently leads for two of the top 5 RBs

Really need to jump in and snag him somehow

This cat? Haven't seen a ton about him and the Vols, that's interesting...

Added as he’s taking an OV here 6/20. Seems like a BAMF

Tennessee has been a school that stacks high on the to-do list considering that Moa has built a strong connection with the staff but has yet to visit the SEC suitor”

Added TE Matt Ludwig, who’ll return for his second ever visit on 4/5.

Sneed might end up FAFO with his visits…

IMO we have to be considered the leader here. We’ve displaced PSU for his 6/6 OV and he’s also coming back before that on 5/24 - making his OV his 5th visit since the fall. Seems like the kind of developmental Edge with elite traits that you take all day regardless of however many more you end up with.

"(Along with Edward Baker), I think Tennessee is also in good shape with Leo Delaney and G’nivre Carr. That’s not to say the Vols definitely lead for both of those guys, but I think they’re at least one of the teams at the top of the list for each of those.

Really, though, I think Tennessee has a realistic shot at several guys. Darius Gray, Deacon Schmitt, Breck Kolojay, Tommy Tofi, Brandon Anderson and Brody Smith all look like legitimate options going into their official visits, so the Vols have a pretty healthy board there going into the summer. And we’ll see if they can pull an upset for someone like (John) Turntine, who did come away impressed after his trip to Knoxville in January."

-Callahan

OL board in really good shape heading into 865 Live and May/June OVs, especially with the #70 overall player (per 247) committed in Gabe Osenda.

247sports.com recruting ratings last 5 years, 11, 14, 10, 17, 22, average 14.8. That isn't the top 10 over the course of 5 years. Would still be about 12th average over the last three classes. So, UT doesn't have a top 10 roster when it comes to recruiting ratings. They have picked up some nice transfers. But, most of them have not been 4 or 5 star either. So, let's not act like UT has a top ten roster in talent according to the recruiting analysts. Get a clue before you start calling people wrong!

Also, don't put words in other peoples mouths or minds! I am not assuming players are bad that transfer from other programs. I am simply saying that MOST transfers that transfer from schools they originally signed with aren't getting on the field as much due to that particular team being stacked with talent! I never said they couldn't help UT and be great players at UT. The original poster acted like UT was making up ground on the teams that recruit in the top 5 every year. That isn't the case when UT and other teams get primarily their classes that aren't the stud 4-5 stars that are seeing playing time for those teams and getting those huge NIL deals! That is my point. Don't try to put words in someone's mouth and call them out when you don't even know the meaning behind my post in the first place!
Don't say don't. Doh!
