I was waiting until anyone entered who I knew we have interest in to start this, well it’s happened. As like last year I’ll add names when they enter that I’ve heard Tennessee has interest in, I won’t drop names prior to them entering the portal. As always just because Tennessee has interest in someone doesn’t mean they are going to land them, in fact they’ll probably be mentioning with 15-20 guys minimum and realistically probably land 3-5 from the portal if I had to guess.

He's played in 98 games, starting 76 of them.

Career 42% FG shooter and 37.1% 3PT shooter as well as 77% from the FT line. Doesn't do much except score though, only 2.5 rebounds per game and 1.8 assists per game. But a big positive is every year he's improved his numbers from 8.4 ppg to 14.4 ppg and now 18.9 ppg hometown North Dakota kid, might be difficult to pull him this far east.

Good target though and maybe our success with Dalton will pay dividends here...I actually think Grant Nelson's not developed much at all in his 2 years at Bama.

Dalton Knecht was also 2nd team "Whatever Conference Northern Colorado is in", which seemed very odd given he led the league in scoring.

Just highlights how many of those conference awards are about best teams instead of best players. DK for example was on a Northern Colorado team that finished 8/10 in conference standings and 12-20 overall that year.
North Dakota is 6/10 and finished 12-21 overall this year

Also I don't think Treysen is a Grant Nelson clone at all. Nelson is 6'10" for one, and lead North Dakota State & the conference in rebounding his last year there while also being a top 5 scorer in his league.

Other than both being from North Dakota and the Summit League they seem pretty different as players.

For good reason. He’ll probably transfer, but I’m not sure we want him. His foot speed and covered shooting were not impressive. Might not be a fit. I think that personal visit from Hubert Davis saved us some pain.

Being a tall guy in a lesser league and shooting good from deep isn't as impressive as a guy like Chaz and what he did. I mean I think Cade might have helped us some this year, but wouldn't have been shocked had he done about the same as Dubar has done.

We did pretty well though 3 of our portal gets were starters and gave us great production. Hopefully that trend continues, this next season could have a lot more portal additions if the 5th year isn't granted.

I agree and hope you are right. Plus, anything or anybody that has had any association with uncch is damaged goods for me. I have had to stomach their arrogance all of my life.

No, it had everything to do with their physical appearance and geographical location relative to their potential tie to Alabama.
