2025 Recruiting

I don't see a world where she would have to play such a significant role like Hidalgo. Hidalgo played 36 minutes a game. We didn't have anyone play over 25 minutes a game this year in Kim's system.

Mia Pauldo may have a big role right away but she won't have to be our only point guard like Hidalgo had to be, since she'll be sharing time with Boyd, her twin, and potentially even Wynn and Cooper who can play point as needed.
Cooper shouldn’t be PG

Fair point, when you're consistently a top 3-5 team like SC, voters seem to inevitably identify at least one player for the All-American teams. Aliyah Boston's numbers were way down her senior year, at 26 minutes a game, but she was still first team All-American.
It’s because Dawn pushed it Down media throat. Boston wasn’t really a 1st team talent

I’m glad you’ve seen this. I always do my research in the beginning which is why my stance on the freshmen class on this forum has been solid from day 1. I don’t think many of the people in the fanbase have taken the time to evaluate this incoming HS recruiting class. I’ll admit Tennessee has one of the strongest WBB fanbases, although it doesn’t always seem the interest are aligned. Incoming there’s too much talent in this HS recruiting class to be giving a platform to just about every player that enters the transfer portal even if it’s just social media with a few 10s of people.
As for Civil, her two best none physical attributes as a player are effort and confidence. You don’t have to teach either it comes naturally. With her physical talent, her effort and confidence puts her at an elite level.

Found some more Jaida Civil highlights looks like she has a good three point stroke as well as her other skills.

The twins won their State Championship 65 to 34!!!

Not even Morris Catholic's opponents are immune to the star power. After the Crusaders dispatched Pope John, 66-34, in the NJSIAA Non-Public A North final on Monday night, quite a few of the Lions players waited outside the locker room for photos with Mia and Mya Pauldo. The Tennessee-bound Twin Back Court has attracted plenty of attention on and off the court. Long after the girls basketball final had ended, the Pope John players all got their selfies – and a few hugs.

One thing that is starting to get real tiring on this site is how all these posters from other schools talk about how great their freshmen recruits are ready to play and ours need time to be any good. How much better a player they got is than a player that is coming to Tennessee. We haven't recruited well in the past, but this class is great. Negative recruiting is going to another level trying to prevent Tennessee from getting top players. It has been there in the past sure it has worked in past seasons now that were having some success a lot of talk about how these players aren't quite up to it while of course their players will make an immediate impact.

For 2026 not sure where Harpring is going she has a lot of schools listed. Edwards is from Washington going to take a great job recruiting to get her so I don't see failure if we don't get either one of those players. I think we'll get a couple excellent players for 2026 and excited about what we can do in the portal although it seems were only going after a lazy player that scores 20 points and get 10 rebounds a game had 33 steals and 69 blocks. Were on the way back sorry if that hurts fans from other schools feelings.

I’m looking forward to Mia and Mya Pauldo competing for the 3peat.
I also have looked ahead and while I think this group is poised to compete for the 8 team National Championship at the Throne, I hope they manage the twins load seeing that their team only has 9 players on the roster with 8 dressing out. Right after this tournament, Mia Pauldo will be playing in the McDonald’s All-American game on April 1st.
GBO ‘solid’!

Bull not Sorry... Always an if but if all return that we want to return plus the transfer portal. CKC along with the freshman will have a great nucleus to build around. Hope the high school recruiting stays strong but want be absolutely necessary for a couple of years. By all indications after CKCs first 7 months she is getting most of the ones she needs. You can't solely judge by hudl film that's the reason the coaches make visits to see them play in person. Just don't know how good anyone one will be until you see them against there peers. GLV 💥
