Who do you like to run & win?

Gov.DeSantis from Florida is my choice
Navy Seal & the total package

Winning Florida vote would be huge

I say less Trump cause we know him well

We, as a nation could and should do so much better.... But I said the same thing as Biden was coming into power.
I could very well be completely wrong, we are years out from the primary. Just seems the Trump contingent of the party is strongest right now, and will likely carry him over any other GOP challenger. But a lot can happen in the next couple of years.

I fully expect Trump to run in 2024 and win the Republican primary.

Nope. He’d be turning 79 within 6 months of taking office. Biden will either be removed before his term is up or if left in office will be drooling on any document put in front of him. Republicans won’t want the Dems holding their beer for them while putting an older geezer in office after the national embarrassment of 46.

I think you are underestimating Trump's ego, and the folks that want him back in office.

I’m not saying that he won’t try. I’m saying that the folks that you say want him back in office aren’t of sufficient numbers to pull it off. Most 2020 Trump votes were actually anti-Harris/biden votes.

Got ya. Who do you think GOP folks rally behind?

Ron DeSantis. Nikki Haley. That would be a good ticket but the Far Right element would have a hissy fit over NH. 2024 POTUS will be whichever side slides the most towards the center.
Nikki Haley would be a huge challenge against Biden in 2024. Ron Desantis is Trump in a cheap suit, I don't see that happening.

Trump’s policies weren’t bad. His arrogance and childish presentation was. It’s the positions that put him in office… not the demeanor.
Trump was a proto-fascist that would burn this Republic to the ground for his ego. And there are a good portion of conservatives that would happily watch him do it.

So who do you suggest

Honestly that old joke about picking a name from the phone book comes to mind. However, I'd simply start by eliminating the usual suspects and starting fresh. And there's still a problem with that. With the press in attack dog mode, it's hard to imagine someone credible and ethical who would accept the job; but we really need to dump the idea that someone with political experience has the requisite "experience" - it's not working well.

Tim Scott SC
Gov. Kristi Noem. ND
Tom Cotton Arkansas
Ted Cruz Tx

I think DeSantis/ Scott would get a lot of support from Trump voters while being able to have good blue collar appeal.
Norm is out. Shot herself in the foot.
I like Cruze and voted for him in 2016 but I don’t think he can appeal well to the crossovers in the general

Nope, I'm out. Nothing personal. But I'm out.
Why? I'm sure you heard lots of made up BS about Pete. No one is denying Trump is an egotistical ass hole, but your statement was a grand exaggeration. His policies weren't horrible, just his personality. No way in hell do I want Trump back in office, but I do believe he was doing better than Biden is currently doing policy-wise. Biden has been horrible.

The rampant homophobia here, I'm done. I'm tired of it.
