2024 Orange & White Game viewing updates

Love Danny White. He seems to pay attention and make the UT a trendsetter rather than a trend follower. I recall 2trs ago I suggested big screening games in neighborhoods. All be it for a paying audience. I wonder if this here is sort of a trial run?

The 2024 Orange & White Game will be held with limited capacity. Approximately 10,000 fans will be in attendance due to construction.
Big screens will be stationed in Lot 9 and the amphitheater outside Gate 21 for fans to watch the Orange & White Game live, as well as the Vols’ baseball game versus LSU.
I'd like to hope so. Make it sort of an old time drive-in movie kind of venue for folks who normally wouldn't be able to attend live games. Charge much less than stadium prices, but still reap extra revenue for UT is what I had in mind 2yrs ago.

I think most modern movie theaters are wire(less)ed for streamed events. I wonder how many theater owners would appreciate the opportunity to screen such an event?

They could charge customers their break-even cost per ticket, and the theater's concessions might even cost less than those at the stadium.

What a fun atmosphere that could be, especially in places further away from Knoxville! I'd definitely attend.

Some creative marketer could make it a double-feature, showing the Orange-White game live, then replaying the 2022 Tennessee - Bama game. Can you imagine how worked up each theater crowd would get? UTAD would then need to connect it with some means for fans to donate to NIL before they leave the theater!
