Drinking amd predicting do not mix well
He says we beat Georgia and lose to the Gamecocks? Oddest prediction ive seen since Harold Camping called May 21st 2011 the last day for all of us..
If UT loses to this UF team at home then Heupel has HUGE problems. I like him. I think he gets that win. But if he can't beat them this year then he ain't beatin' them. If he doesn't beat UF... then he's on a short clock. We lose to UGA, UF, Bama and LSU. All other games should be wins. If we lose to South Carolina we have HUGE problems.
There are reasons it could be worse and also reasons it could be significantly better. They need to improve on 3rd down. Do that... and at least two of those games are reasonable wins. Our defense was horrible last season and we lost a lot off of that defense. Defense will likely be even worse this season

Do you even think or just spew that stuff out? What do all of those coaches have in common except Kiffin? Yes. UF is the next level up so they ARE the measuring stick for progress. Lack of progress = FAILURE.Laughable. Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, Jones, Pruitt. None of those coaches could really beat UF. The Florida game, at this point, should not be used as a measuring stick for the success or failure of a head coach at TN.
Do you think it gets easier if he cannot beat them this year... at home... with an established QB and a year head start? Here you go with yet another ignorant take. Yeah if Heupel can’t bet UF this year then might as well fire up the coaching search again right?
You're right... just accept mediocrity forever in the name of "stability" in the hopes a coach incapable of getting wins when they should will some day "luck out" and win some games. You're the one who thinks you can't win without a roster loaded with 4/5* players. Well guess what... coaches that can't win games like the UF game this year... that win 5-8 games over their first 3 or 4 years DO NOT GET THOSE PLAYERS OR THEIR EQUIVALENT 3*.Why can’t you understand it? Getting rid of coaches every 3-4 years isn’t the answer.
Build a roster. If a coach loses and that losing begins to erode recruiting then you MUST replace them. If the players are there then you raise your chances of getting a high profile coach. If you let your HC drive the roster into the ground like Jones did for his last two years... You get Pruitt. We can’t get a high profile head coach to come here now. You think we can get one if we fire Heupel in a couple of years?

What you want has worked maybe... MAYBE 5 times in the last 30 years. But to you recognizing a CLEAR historical pattern... is "ignorant".
Recruiting DIRECTLY ties to WINNING. Want to get those players... to take them away from UF? You have to beat them.
