Agreed on every single point. He is, by everything I can see, elite. If he had more time as a HC, he’d be considered top 3-5 coaches in the country. In a long, long baseball season, I can’t recall a single “bad baseball” decision he’s made. Not one. I’ve seen calls/decisions not work out or perhaps sub-optimally, but not one “bad baseball” moment. That is rare for a season 60+games long for such a new head coach. I don’t think it’s luck either.Coach V is the almost perfect mix of confidence, swagger, energy, and intelligence to lead TN baseball for hopefully decades to come. Possibly his best recruiting job thus far was convincing Coach Frank Anderson to be his right hand man and Pitching Coach. Coach V has the potential to build a dynasty at UT and become one of the greatest ever. He just has that “IT” factor. Go Vols! We’ve had some great ones including Neyland, Summit, Mears, Majors, and Fulmer.
