2018 and 2019 Positional Breakdown

Regarding interior DL.

On current roster: Butler, Emerson, Bennett, Crosby.

Incoming 2018 DTs: Gooden, Harris

Incoming 2019 DTs: Middleton (JUCO), Cox (2019 FR).

That’s 8 DTs on the roster with 7 that will be Soohomores-Seniors. I feel better about that than when I originally read the first post.

Just curious, why did you leave out Tuttle, Alexis Johnson and Bain? They have all played "interior DL" for us.

edit: I guess you were projecting ahead to 2019. Sorry.

Exactly. We don't know who's gonna ball out for us in '18, or what jucos, grad transfers or early-entry blue chips we might get between now and 2019.

Most will go Pro anytime there’s a chance for a payday. Who wouldn’t? Problem is they are listening to the wrong people telling them it’s possible.

Well said. Back in the day I remember being a little butt hurt when one of best players left for the NFL. I kinda felt like they owed it to the university to stay the 4 years. WRONG! Flat out wrong. My mind didn't change until someone asked me if your son was in their shoes would you tell him to take the millions of dollars or stay and risk a career ending injury.
