Coveted post player Luaren Cox is still ranked #1. Her list has been cut to 6 with Tennessee battling 5 other schools. I personally think Baylor will be the team to beat for her services. Tennessee's guard targets Slocum and Lewis are in the top 20, while 6'4" post target McCune has dropped in the rankings. It is hard to get any new info on McCune and that could be a reason for dropping in the rankings plus not playing for a nationally known AAU program. At 6'4" and the attitude and skill set she brings to the court, I still want her! You can't teach the won't be denied mentality.

We need to replace Graves and Moore. So hopefully we get two post players. McCune has talent she can be developed. Hopefully another post player surprise and Slocum. A class of three will be fine we only lose two players.

I'd take any of those plus Holmes, McCoy or Johnson.

Dangerfield is a traitor and her family should move to storrs with her or should be run out of the state of Tennessee. Sleeping with the enemy. :bad:

The thing about Texas is there are about 4 or 5 elite posts in that state this year and Baylor lands two last year from other states. They might get one of these but I couldn't see a good post going there and sitting the bench. Baylor is post heavy like we're guard heavy. I'd love to see us get Slocum. She has elite written all over her.

Lol! I hope you are joking. Dangerfield did not want play behind Cooper. With Jefferson being a senior at UConn, more than likely Dangerfield will the starter when arriving on campus. I was born and raised in the state of Alabama, but I hate the University of Alabama. I am a big Auburn fan though. Dangerfield likes who she likes. If we can sign Slocum or Lewis the sting of not getting Dangerfield will be gone. Both Slocum and Lewis are amongst the elite guards in this class. Elite recruits wants to play.

Kim Mulkey is not crazy. Have you notice that three players have left Baylor's team this off season to accommodate their 2015 signing class. Believe me Mulkey will make room for Luaren Cox if she have to. Its a bad look for Mulkey to sign more players than there are scholarships available. I guess she wants Baylor back at the top and on the national scene. McCoy is a toss up. No one knows where she is going. She is waiting until the spring to sign. She is well worth the wait, especially after some are saying she is the next Candace Parker. Its a wait and see. All of Tennessee's targets are giving no signs or clues on what school they are leaning towards.

WE need post players......Cox would be great, but some bigs is vital to the program....This year will be very important for recruiting. If we finish in top 5 great.

McCoy should be a good player, would love to get her, but she is not the next Candace Parker. She also did not play her senior year because of a knee injury, I believe--which can be a problem because it means her jump to a top college program will be even bigger because she missed a big developmental year--see J. Tucker. It's a double handicap: you're recovering from a serious knee injury AND your making a big jump up the competitive ladder. McCune sounds like a project--we could use a legit post.

McCune is ranked so low because her AAU team does not play in the big tournaments where these recruiting services are planted.

Is she the top post in the class...absolutely not. However, Tennessee would be very lucky to get her services. Once Cox commits, the others will fall into place. However, McCune holds an unconditional offer from Tennessee, and those are not given out to many people.

Cox is likely to Baylor or ND, but Tennessee does have a chance. The Jannah situation opened a lot of people's eyes into how things are run at Tennessee. They know their daughter will be taken care of.

McCoy is likely to Louisville, but Tennessee also has a chance.

Tennessee is going after Slocum HARD! There is high mutual interest between Tennessee and Lewis, PG out of Chicago. These two will likely not go to the same school, but Tennessee would be lucky to get either.

Tennessee likely to take 3-4 in this class. Things looks VERY good for 2017, and need to keep scholarships open.

Have you ever seen McCune play? I can't find anything on young lady. It is also hard to find anything on Kiara Lewis. Do Lewis and McCoy play on the same AAU team? I think Mac Irvin Fire out of Chicago?

Don't you love how they moved Crystal Dangerfield up to # 2 after the commitment to Connecticut

There are only nine 5 star players; 2 of them are from TN; neither is planning to attend college at the U of TN. Unbelievable. Sigh.

Pretty sure Carter would have come here if we didn't sign Cooper or Meme, when you are loaded at guards you are going to miss out on some too.

We shouldn't be losing top prospects like McCoy to Louisville. No decision yet so will keep fingers crossed.

So how do we have two top ten players from TN but Holly gets neither? Without getting the very best players we will never return to NC contention.
