at least he's no communist.
how you can blast ted cruz after having 4 years of a neo-Marxist is just laughable.
I judge the man on his own merits. Forgive me. I don't need Obama standing beside him to come to a conclusion he's a flawed candidate as well.
I agree. He's a bad choice all on his own.
When compared to Obama I see him as even worse since he's as much an ideologue and divider as Obama is. 4 - 8 more years of division would be an even bigger disaster than we are currently living in.

seriously? you think that cruz would be more of a divider that Obama?
Have you seen his career in the Senate? He has done more to divide and alienate than anyone else in the Senate. The fact that he's managed to anger most of his own party shows a lot. If a man cannot even unite his own party even within the Senate itself is very telling. To achieve even a fraction of what he's proposed it would take a broad consensus of the full GOP as well as even some Democrats. His own party has waffled on several of the issues he mentioned in his speech. He may want to take a step back, repair some damage in relations he has interparty and show he actually has the ability to unite them to pass some legislation that is meaningful. When a guy's reputation is even both barrels at fellow Republicans he's pretty divisive. His speech today? It was no different than John Edwards' "Two Americas" speech. He compares himself to Reagan but Reagan's speeches along this same line were very unifying. Cruz has mastered the artform of dividing everyone and everything into two categories. Many of the religious conservatives will like the distinction but the polarizing tone gets him nowhere in a general election. But like others have said, he will not make it out of the primary.
It will be interesting to see how Paul plays out. Cruz went Tea Party to religious right. Paul will go Tea Party to libertarian (lower and upper case L).
I think we get division no matter what happens going forward. I'm pessimistic about the ability of a professional liar being able to unify the parties given the vitriol being spewed by both parties.
Precedents have been set, POTUS's using the Constitution to wipe their ass to get agenda's accomplished is going to be the rule rather than the exception. Too hard to un-ring that bell.

He is divisive because he has stepped on some powerful toes.Have you seen his career in the Senate? He has done more to divide and alienate than anyone else in the Senate. The name sounds Hispanic because his father, Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, was born in Cuba, and fled in the 1950's. Google his father's name and read his story. He escaped from Cuba with $100 sewn in his underwear, and knowing no English. The name Cruz sounds Hispanic, maybe he will get some support through the Hispanic community, who knows. He may ruffle some feathers along the way but I don't think he will get the nomination.
