Ok, it seems like a lot of people are freaking out about our DL situation. We haven't had a 2014 commit in 12 days now, and a lot of people are stir crazy. It's happened a couple of times this spring/summer, and each time this forum has had the same reaction.
I have always been curious about the dates of our 2014 commitments and the time lapse in between them all. I have listed them below. If we look at where the crazy recruiting season began (Coleman Thomas) the longest lapse's were between Brown and Medley (20 days), Paulk and Payne (19 days), and Weatherd and Powell 16 days. After that it's 11 and 9 twice with the average being 1 commit every 6 (6.125) days since Thomas got us started in March. July was awesome, and there may be a delay because we got so many commitments at once.
Some posters, including myself, think that there may be some form of strategery happening with the timing of commitments to keep up momentum. If this were the case, then based on how this class has formed we should have another commitment within the next week or so. Barnett could potentially be committing next week and I think Lambert is announcing on the 13th.
Just something to think about. Our 2014 class has started awesome, and there is every indication that it will end that way too. Have faith and patience, and remember these dates don't even include our 2015/2016 commits!
