This is speculation, though I believe with a foundation of reason to believe to be a prophetic truth.

The 2012 team returns to the tradition of a big and now it seems mean OL. It appears the OL has put strength work in and as per CSP and CDD, playing with a bit of aggression which he preferred to as violence last season. The new OL coach appears to be insisting the OL become road graders running on jet fuel instead of diesel. With an attitude of get the h3ll out of the way.

The 2012 RBs under Graham's stress for aggressive running plus ball security are responding according to both CJG and CSS. I think we will see the return or semblance of the down your throat running attack from days of old.

The defense isn't fully back having a slight bit of thinness here and there but nothing like the past 3-4 years. However, under CSS they seem to be better conditioned, better talent, and being trained to have a just downright nasty attitude. I don't know a freaking thing but I think what I read between the lines is CSS is here to show his work in Alabama wasn't due to Sabanism but rather due to Sunseri-ism. Consequently, I look to see a hard playing Tennessee defense win, lose, or draw.

The only concern I really have is CDD maybe doing some Fulmeric foolishness by rotating quarterbacks. Yeah, I know Wes Miles did this with some success but often this isn't a smart thing to do. Bray appears to be the man though it apparently isn't his way to act take charge and be vocal about it. When all there, he gets the job done and with the WR arsenal he has now, that should be more true now than it ever was. Remember when he had Gerald Jones and Denarius Moore? Two experienced WRs and of course Hunter and Da'Rick thrown in from time to time but it was the seniors mostly. Bray threw his head off. Now with the same type of thing featuring JH and DR as very talented and experience WRs, he will do the same. Once again we will have a at least 2 if not more newcomer WRs that can spot the vets when needed. If CDD is smart, he won't tamper with this by experimenting with Worley and Peterman unless it's mop up duty. Of course if Bray falters it's nice to know we have two QBs who would perform better than the unfortunate Matt Simms. So CDD don't mess with a sure thing by rotating your QBs if Bray is making plays and he will. Plus he has a close personal and on field relationship with JH and DR, just don't mess with it when there is no cause to.

Barring injuries and further attrition, I think pieces in place for us to either win the SEC-east or finish 2nd at the worse. I look for vengeance games vs. Vandy and KY meaning very high scores with the SOS (Sons of Sunkist -Bray, DR, JH) insisting on staying in the game after it becomes a runaway.

By the prickling of my thumb, something wicked this way comes.

I really really really really do not see the possibility of rotating quarterbacks. Peterman should be redshirted, and baring some injury or incredible increase in ability from Worley then the job is Bray's hands down.

Where did you get the idea Dooley might use more than a healthy Bray at QB? Unless Bray is hurt, he's going to play every snap of the 2012 season unless UT is up by 30+ in the 4th quarter.

Why would you believe that Dooley will rotate QBs? He doesn't have a history of it and has not even hinted that he will. Barring injury or an occasional wildcat formation, I am sure Bray is the guy.

Only thing I've heard him say about QB is having discussions on creating something for Peterman, if needed in specific circumstances. I don't call that rotating quarterbacks.

We aren't going to rotate qb's unless it's mop up duty or an injury.

I like the enthusiasm, but I think you're reading way too much into post spring practice comments from the coaches.

Your comments make perfect sense to me but suggest you read what the coaches are saying about the QBs and what it may imply.

I am just hoping its excitement early on in practice with him. I see no reason for us to a burn a year with him for a few snaps a game.

"He's kind of like Tyler in that his arm's so strong that he makes some questionable decisions, but that's not always a bad thing, we're going to do some things that will simplify things for him early."

"Where he's different from Tyler is physically, he's a lot more mature than Tyler was two years ago. He is more mobile, but he has some good meat on his bones. He can do a lot of different things. His arm is incredibly strong and he loves contact." Dooley said Peterman is at 6'2, 225, up from the 215 UT lists him at.

The Vols head coach hinted at the possibility of using Peterman this fall not only as Bray's primary backup, but in a special package that will allow the Vols to take advantage of another dimension of Peterman's game, his legs.

"Situationally, some short yardage stuff, and maybe seven-ten snaps a game, if some things happen." That package is an option like package, Dooley said, that would have runs and pass options built in. "We're a long way off from that, but it's something we've certainly discussed. When you get guys like this, you have to use them."

Eh, I want him redshirted, but I want winning and winning now. So, if that leads to winning then so be it. Here is to hoping we can win and win without playing Peterman.

edit: Sounds like backtracking, but isn't. I still want him redshirted.

Hope you're right but CDD comments, especially regarding Peterman, sounds like he has decided they will play him in certain situations. What this tells me is he is perceiving Peterman as a sort of a Tebow and using him as Meyer did during the Chris Leak era.

I remember reading somewhere that not only will peterman be used in the wildcat but could get up to 15 snaps a game in some special packages designed for him and he will probably pass worley on the depth chart IMO.
