this is EXTREMELY early I know. But, this is just to get some hopefully excite some people about next year. Im going to include Denico Autry, Cordarelle Patterson, and Darrington Sentimore in because Im about 95% sure that all 3 of them will be VOLS by NSD.

Here is how i'd see the depth chart. For those who aren't committed just yet I will have another option for that position as well

OFFENSE
QB: Tyler Bray
HB: Marlin Lane
FB: Ben Bartholomew
WR1: Justin Hunter
WR2: Darick Rogers
WR3: Cordarelle Patterson/DeAnthony Arnett
TE: Mychael Rivera
LT: Dallas Thomas
LG: Marcus Jackson
C: Alex Bullard
RG: Zach Fulton
RT: Ja'Wuan James

If this were to be the actual depth chart this would be one hell of an offense!! By "this" I mean getting a commit from Patterson (even though Im 99.9% sure he will be a VOL) and having him be the 3rd Wideout on our depth chart. If Hunter or Rogers were to go down we wouldn't have to heavily rely on 1 of them (like we did Rogers this year), we'd have a VERY talented wideout in Patterson. I think with Bray slinging the ball all over the field it could open up some lanes for our running backs.

DEFENSE
LE: Jacques Smith
DT: Maurice Couch
DT: Darrington Sentimore/Dan O'Brien/Damien Jacobs
RE: Denico Autry/Willie Bohannon
OLB: Curt Maggitt
MLB: A.J Johnson/Herman Lathers (idk how these two would be placed)
OLB: Herman Lathers/A.J Johnson
CB: Izauea Lanier
FS: Brian Randolph/LaDarrell McNeil
SS: Brent Brewer
CB: Prentiss Waggner

This would be a pretty good defense. The DL should put some pressure on the QB, linebackers should be solid because Maggitt and Johnson will have a year under their belt and probably won't commit the same mistakes they did this year as freshman. We would finally have some depth in the defense (especially at LB IMO). We could (possibly) have 2 shutdown corners in Lanier and Waggner, while Brewer and Randolph/McNeil deliver some hard hits.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
P: Matt Darr :cray:
PK: Michael Palardy :cray:
Kickoff: George Bullock
KR: Devrin Young/Marlin Lane
PR: Devrin Young

not many changes here sadly...

I have finally calmed down and come back to reality. Dooley should get 1 more year and with some coaching changes and getting the players I named above along with some more very talented recruits, we should AT LEAST get 7-8 wins.

If you have any changes feel free to change it however you want, just don't do anything like this . This is to get some people excited about next year when they see we should be a pretty solid all around team next year. (except for the kicking part of special teams :p)

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!:loco:

Two seniors on O and hopefully just one on D...dang. We could be really good next year with young talent.

AJ would be a MLB before Lathers...

And I am not sold on J. Smith starting next year... his play was less than impressive this year.

Also, our defense will be situational. You will see completely different players coming in for different situations.

That is one of the best things about Wilcox's defense, and a reason that I think McCullers is so important to our recruiting class.

jmoore has been saying McCullers a bama lock.

If I recall I think alot of people kind of penciled in BMoore, and Couch as instant impact Jucos last year and both guys took quite a while before they made any kind of impact. If we are relying on Autry and Sentimore to start from day 1 I think CDD better just pack his bags now because he will have a losing record for the year before they are even making a big impact. Maybe we get lucky and they come in more ready to play, but that is a huge deal if they are not.

I agree that we should have 7-8 wins next year. The excuses are gone. Either show some results or lets go through another long cycle with another coach. I really hope we dont have to do that.

Have you seen our schedule?

I could win 7 coaching for free and not knowing crap but waving a towel. I would use some plays I created on NCAA 11'.

Dooley makes 1.8 million a year 9+ wins better come out of that schedule.

Saulsbaury (spelling?) should play, right? I thought he was redshirted this year.

That's the issue with so many people on this board, they think since they can run a dynasty on NCAA, they know what they are talking about.

7-8 wins next year is what we should expect. Other teams aren't remaining stagnant, they are working to improve just like we are.

Ummm...I don't know what you are talking about. I played dynasty mode on NCAA 2004 and won about 6 national titles. That was no accident

Let's see we bought 4 of those games

Vandy Kentucky

Missouri @ Neyland?
UF@ Neyland?

That's the problem with some of our fan base they have learned to accept mediocrity.

Our O-Line will be in its 3rd year starting together we will have Bray, Rodgers, Hunter. Hopefully someone steps up at RB.

Our defense returns a ton.

If Dooley and this staff cannot win 9+ with that schedule and our roster that would be PATHETIC!

I'm going to officially be on the Dooley hate wagon if we don't beat UF next year. Won't be calling for his head, but there really is no excuse next year. UT should be better, UF should be equal or worse, and it will be at Neyland.
