Dawson hasn’t seen much of Clemson, outside of what’s going on over at Memorial Stadium.
“I’m planning on going to junior day,” he said.
Along with that trip a trip to Tennessee.

LB Nick Dawson (6-3 220) will commit to the Tigers the first of next week. "He's going to wait until the weekend is over," John Simmons of Berry Academy said. "His dad wants him to wait and go thru the whole weekend. He's got a track meet Saturday and combine Sunday. It probably will be Monday." Dawons also holds offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee, North Carolina, Maryland, Illinois, NC State, Auburn, Miami, Vanderbilt and others. He had 113 tackles and an interception last season. "He's big and rangy and moves well for a kid his size," Simmons said. "He has a lot of weight to put on. He's going to be a monster once he puts i all together."
"I like Tennessee," Dawson said. "I've not gotten down there yet. I know the head coach came to our school last fall. I think we may be coming down there this weekend. We haven't finalized anything yet."
"I want a place with great history," Dawson said. "Academics are important to me because I want to go into engineering. I also want a great program and a great fan base. I know Tennessee has the biggest stadium in college football. I like the fans that are behind me."
