It amazes me the amount of hype everyone is putting in to how good we are supposed to be in 2012. i want us to win every game, but putting all the pressure on us to be national champions in 2012 could back fire and lead to a busted season. i think this 2011 season will be the hint of where the program is headed. for all we know this season could be it who knows? bottom line is it's up to the coaches to make the correct calls and the players to execute 100% on the field. our recievers are hands down the biggest question mark on the team besides tyler bray. my biggest fear is tyler turning into erik ainge and the recievers not being able to catch balls throw right at them. but time will tell, as far as wins this season i see no reason why we can't win every game. At the very minimum this team should win 9 games not counting the bowl game.

GO VOLS!!

We will be good in 2012 "IF" everybody pans out to be as good as most think, and if everybody stays healthy.

I don't know who expects us to win the NC in 2012, but it is a make or break year for Coach Dooley. Considering that most of the roster will have had three years in the system, 9-10 wins and competing for the east crown is a realistic expectation.

we have how many DT's on the roster now at least 3 or 4? if the linebackers can produce which i think they will and the D-Line will we will be fine. also i hope palardy improves his accuracy, we don't need or ever want another stinkin' lincoln again.

I've heard 10 wins or more in '12. I don't think any intelligent fan is EXPECTING a national title.

I'd say the biggest question mark is LB's followed by DL as a close second. I think the expectation for 2012 should be for us to compete inthe conference and compete for a bcs bowl. I use the word "compete." I'm not saying anything should be definate. After following college foootball closely for 20 years, you learn that nothing is definative.

But we should have a full roster with the majority being the players that this staff wanted and those players would have been in the system for a while. We should be competitive in 2012. This year is a tossup.

Do you think 3 or 4 DTs is OK? As it is, we are going to have to have ends playing, heck, starting, at tackle.

I'll never forget that 2005 Ainge offense. It was almost unbelievable. When he would finally get a wideout the ball, he would drop it.

I'm sure that 98% of common sense Vol fans will tell u that we will not win the national championship in 2012. However, we should be much improved with some solid depth in every position. There will be no excuses for the players, coaches, or the Tennessee program as a whole in 2012. This is what people is looking forward so much for. STABILITY=GROWTH

With the talent on offense and a defense with experience, I think it is fair to expect a top 10 team in 2012.

I expect an SEC title run in 2012, not a NC.

I agree.I think we should be legit contenders in the east but who knows what UGA FLA and SC will look like.I think most would agree it will be the first time in awhile we will have comparable talent.SEC east title and BCS game could be possible.

Wilcox's defenses are going to have to show something before i'll feel good about any title run in 2012. I'll say odds are the offense will be good in 2012, the defense is still really a unknown at this point. They need to stop the run. they were bad at it last year. Teams slice through them like butter again this year and i'd hold those 2012 title plans.

Make or break my eye!!!! Competing for the east crown is realistic, but this year will NOT be make or break for DD. What do you want to do? Fire him and have another coaching staff turnover at this point? No Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
