Note1: Use whatever approach you want but I will based the majority of my depth chart on what I think the coaches will do vs what I think. I will interject every now and then but to settle any disagreements let me be the first to say that I'm just a fan and it's barely worth $0.02.

Note2: I am using our current commitments. I have NO IDEA who is "silent" right now or who we "feel good about" except I am assuming we land Autry, Sentimore (given OCIVol's e-cred) and Patterson

Goes without saying but all comments and corrections are encouraged :hi:

_ QB _
1)Bray
2)Worley
3)Peterman

_ RB _*
1) Lane
2) D Young
3) Tom Smith
4) Toney

_ FB _
1) Bartholomew
2) Fugate
3) Hill - this one is jmo I think he is built like a FB and has a better chance of seeing the field at this position. Again jmo.
Guy who probably won't play: Scott Bubis (Boobies?)

_ WR _
1) Bones :cool2:
2) Da'Freak :cool2:
3) Neal/Arnett (depending on formation)
4) ZeRo (I hope this changes!!!!!:realmad:)
Comments: After 1-4 it appears to be a sack race between Pig, Patterson, Drae Bowles, Jason Croom and Justin King (at least one of the last 2 should grow into a TE dontshootmejustafansopinion- while I'm at it TEAGUE SHOULD MOVE BACK TO WR D@MMIT!!!)

_ TE _
1) Rivera
2) Downs/Clear (depending on formation)

_ OT _
1st team) James, Thomas
2nd team) Tiny, Schofield, Posey (?)
Comments: Was really tempted to go with Tiny as 1st team but I think the coaches will go with experience above all else (at least starting out).

_ OG _
1st team) Marcus Jackson, Fulton
2nd team) Stone, Kerbyson

_ C _
1) Bullard
2) Crowder
Comments: I personally think this could change with a commitment. Mack could even push for 1st team. I really don't know if Bullard is the answer at center but he's too good to keep on the sidelines.

_ DE _
1st team) Autry, Jacques Smith
2nd team) Walls, Willie Bosplode
Comments: If everything falls in place the D Line could be scary next year. It will be interesting to see who steps up. If Autry commits he's too good not to start. Smith is the next best end. Another guy to watch for is Jordan Williams. I think we'll start to see some good things from him next year.

_ DT _
1st team) Couch, Jacobs
2nd team) Sentimore, Corey Miller
3rd team) O"brien, Hood/Tugboat
Comments: You really could flip Jacobs and Sentimore for all I know. I really like O'Brien and I think he'll get some snaps right away.

_ OLB _
1st team) Lathers, Maggit
2nd team) Sapp, Peters
Comments: JMO but I think AJ is too slow to play OLB and I think the move to inside is coming at least temporarily. I put Peters in the 2 deep. I think one of the freshman will see significant PT.

_ ILB _
1) AJ
2) Santos
3) Propst
Guy who probably won't play: Gregory (Richard?) Grieco
Comments: I think AJ has to play inside for us AT LEAST until we can groom Santos. Flame away!

_ CB _
1st team) P Swagg, Lanier, Gordon (Nickelback)
1a) Coleman, Crawley
Comments: Really didn't know about CB except for Prentiss. Lanier and Coleman will both play a lot and I don't think we see much of Teague here. As I did earlier, I put Crawley in there bc I think we'll see a true freshman contribute here (be it him or somebody else).

_ S _
1st team) B Moore, Randolph
1a) Brewer, McNeil
Comments: This is a position to watch. I think Brewer has a better year this year but it's going to be hard to keep McNeil off the field. Edit: can't believe I left B Moore out initially!

_ K _
1) Palardy
2) Brodus
3) Bullock (?)

_ P _
1) Darrlardy
2) Greased up deaf guy
Comments: My suggestion here is we fuse Palardy and Darr's leg together. IIRC one os left footed and the other is right footed. This should be a no brainer!

_ PR _
1) D Young

_ KR _
1) D Young, ?????? (Pig imo)
Comments: We will need a freshman to step up at this spot.

Well that's all I got for now. What do you guys think??

Doesn't look much different from this year. I just hope they mature over the off season or its going to be a long 2012.

AJ has always been a MLB, but he was filling a need this year with Lathers out all year. Lathers back and healthy (crossing fingers), AJ can go back inside where he belongs.

Your mock depth chart looks terrible (lets wait til feb). You have players that have been asked to look around as well as players out of position and you left out some of the red-shirted players.

Something to add: I think we'll see more of Patterson as the year goes on esp if Hunter isn't 100% (hope I'm wrong about him btw)

Can you confirm which players have been asked to look around? What would you change about the depth chart?

You've got 3 incoming recruits on the 2 deep on the DL - the "youth and inexperience" crowd just got their second wind....look out

Oh crap! I left out Corey Miller, too. He'll be in the 2 deep, right? (Better fix that)

Haha why even mention Greg Greico in this? He's a walk-on who doesn't dress for road games.

Sorry I was going down the roster on the utsports website and saw a couple of funny names. Grey, if you are reading this I wasn't trying to offend you or Bubis. On some level it would be kind of awesome if you guys started but thank you for your contributions to the program

If Patterson signs with UT... I predict he will be one of the top two WR's. The other spot will be between Hunter and Rogers unless Hunter comes back 100% healed. Rogers could (and I think will) be a unique All Conference guy who doesn't start the next year.

No need to worry. I know Greg, and I seriously doubt he would be offended by anything you said.

I just thought it was super random that you mentioned him.

Byron Moore?

I know he showed up out of shape but I imagine with a full year in the S & C program he will be fine at the start of training camp.

those are all juniors so youth crowd should be out on this one - inexperience crowd may still be there but not youth crowd

No way CP gets the start over DR. He'll get a lot of playing time, but CP hasn't played a down in an FBS program. Even the best JUCO guys have to get used to playing in this division, especially in the SEC.

As for the OP saying Hill goes to FB, I hope not. I'm tired of these little fast backs. I want to see him trucking and taking out LBs at some point.

This thought was uniquely stupid. If Da'Rick loses his starting spot after being the #1 receiver in the SEC, then we just don't wanna win games that much.

Talk about being a cancer in the locker room if that happens.. Holy cow. No way that happens.

Don't know if you can separate em - kinda like the "ESPN and Rivals hate us" crowd.....just one group

I doubt this happens especially since CP is no longer an early enrollee. I guess you are thinking DR gets moved to the slot?
