If you had a pick who was under center next year who would it be?? And which player do you think would contribute the most?

1. Jesse Scroggins
2. Tyler Bray
3. Chase Rettig
4. Barry Brunetti
5. Cam Newton
6. Nick Lamaison
7. Nick Stephens
8. Other

#7 Nick Stephens, I think he has the ability to be a great QB for The Vols. Yes his numbers show different, but he shows the desire to learn and improve to help the team. I was really impressed with him when JC was named the starter. He never got mad he just siad he will continue as if he was the starter, very mature in my eyes.

Im curious to see what happens after Crompton leaves because it will be his job to loose in the off season. I wonder if he is going to bust his tail and spend extra time in the weightroom, film, etc? Maybe he can pull and Erik Ainge but im hoping that is he case for Crompton this year. But if I had to pick I would go with Bray. I really like this kid and I think he is going to be a good qb.

Stephens. I really don't want Scroggins under any circumstances.

Newton, he can come in and be a stud right away. Scroggins, Bray, etc. need time. I believe it will be Stephens.

I dont either. I mean I feel like we are second best because of the situation over there. I mean dont get me wrong I wouldnt say no to the kid but I just think there are a couple of other qbs that would do just as well. Especially if we get Prater(which is going to be tough)

Nick Stephens will be starting QB next year, while Jesse Scroggins or Tyler Bray
will be redshirt if Lane Kiffin get one of them. Then again LK did say that every player get a chance to prove themself. Nick Lamaison don't know too much cause I don't hear much about him but he is a third string QB. I more looking forward to this year right now, next year can wait untill this season over. GO VOLS:rock:

IF we were to get Scroggins Kiffin wouldnt redshirt him, he would probably end up starting from the 1st game next year. Bray on the other hand i can see getting redshirted.

Cam Newton under center would give us the best chance for immediate success.

Scroggins would be my choice for our future QB but I think Bray/Rettig/Mason/Hendrix and a host of other guys could be coached into being serviceable QBs.

I don't see any QBs that really jump out at me but a big guy like Tyler Bray or Chase Rettig might grow into an elite QB.

You didn't read my whole post, did you. I also said THEN AGAIN LK DID SAY SAY EVERY PLAYER WILL GET TO PROVE THEMSELF. WHICH I MEANS IS THAT INCLUDED FRESHMAN. DUH.:whistling:

I want brunetti not because I think he is the best quarterback, but because he grew up a vol. and there is no greater formula for success than the desire and will to get your team the victory because of the passion you hold within for that team. if someone one is good, thats fine. but when there is almost no time left on the clock, i want the kid who is willing to lay his life on the line to bring joy to that which is the University of Tennessee!

I don't have any great insight or "secret" information anymore so than most of the posters on here, but from all that I do know (limited) I think my choice would be brunetti.

It would be nice to have Stephens win the job with a burnetti or bray observing and learning.
