We gotta pick it up. We have 3 recruits, 2 3-star, 1 4-star. Alabama already has 11 verbals. 5 4-stars.

exactly correct. the opportunity for freshman to start is obviously our highest recruiting method. from the exerpts I read from these kids, they all know that they have a chance to be a 4-year starter.

deep in-state base. bama, texas, florida, usc...they can pick up many in-state without having to put too much effort. they service their needs and then cherry pick outside the state for the top talent.

Ditto!!! We are gonna be hurtin' bad on the OL!!! Good thing CLK is going to play freshman!!! We should expect next year to be 6-6 7-5, much like 'bammer in 07. There's just going to be too many new pieces!!! Year 3 and 4 should be significantly better and where we all want to be!!

well maybe not this year, but in clk's second year we could be really competive and possibly win the east if certain things happen.
first we need to have a good season this year so we can have a good recruiting class.
second we need to show eb just how much we love him and appreciate how hard he plays so that maybe he will show us some love and come back for his senior year.
third we need marve to come to us, and bryce to make an impact right out of the gate.


if these things happen i dont think there is any reason we shouldnt atleast compete for the sec east. we will play the Tebow-less gators at neyland and bama at neyland.

anyone else think we can compete for the sec in 2010 or am i to biased ha

I think that we land a 5th - 7th ranked class just because we will oversign. Alot of 3 star linemen will be in this class, but thats alright as long as we get some quality bodies for the trenches, and a good QB.

Bingo. We won't take enough skill players to raise us into the top spot (they get more points), but it will be a big, deep draft filled with linemen.
