Nick Saban, young defense, loss of JPW will not be a major factor, the bottom three teams in that division are sorry, and teams stopped underestimating Bama after the Clemson game.

+1

Not to mention some darn good recruiting by Saban (this year included).

I think Georgia and the Vols will be better than expected. Also why do you guys think Bama will be so good next year? That bowl game was no accident. And no one will underestimate Bama next year.

Wishful thinking. Face it, Bama will be a force as long as Saban is there.

Bama's season was a miracle in itself. No real key injuries on a thin team with limited depth. They won't be so fortunate next year.

Yes, no key injuries this season for Bama is true. But next year, Saban will have recruited 3 of the 4 classes. His first class was a top 15 and the second two will both be top 5.

Its just pissing in the wind to think that they will not be good next year.

We'll see. Next year they won't have as good a class as the ones of late.

I agree. A team having the meat of the talent in the sophmore and junior class will hurt any program in recruiting, I would think.

Of course, Auburn does not appear to offer any real competition so Saban will clean up the state of Alabama.

Kiffin will be dipping in there grabbing some of their best players. If you look at it a guy like Julio Jones may would be playing for us with the system he's about to run on the hill. Our offensive system will better prepare a player for the pros than Bama's.

I think there is way too much credit being given to Ole Miss. They go 6-5, possibly 7-4 in 2009.

I think its so hard to pick where the vols might finish next year, because our qb play was so bad was it the coaching, the system or could it be that the three we have are just not very good?

I have a sneaking feeling that SoCar tanks this year and SOS calls it a career.

I disagree. Nutt is a very good coach. And there is more talent at Ole Miss than there has been in a long time. Snead was a heck of a gift as a transfer too. He is a legit QB. Ole Miss will have to plug some gaps on defense and how well they can do that will determine if they have a decent season or a good season.

I only saw one poster mention Arkansas is on the rise. Petrino is a sleaze ball, but he understands offense. They will continue to improve until he takes a better job. He'll be at a better gig in the next five years. Then, they'll have no one to replace him and it will take them years to recover.

I think Kiffin gets at least one signature upset win in his first season. Everyone's leaving S Carolina for lateral positions at other schools. They're back in the tank. It will probably be a season of surprises and growing pains for many schools though.

I also have a suspicion Ole Miss goes through a sophomore slump with Nutt and they backslide before having a solid 2010 season.
