We are preseason ranked no. 28, which is pretty generous and finishing 3rd in the East. Didn't have a chance to read a lot, but they have EB as preseason all-american 1st team as expected. Also an article "Lame Kiffin? Or is he?" which i have yet to read.

I would say that 28th is too high to start out with, but if we keep it interesting in the UF game and beat Aub (and UCLA) for a 3-1 start I beleive we crack the top 25.

There wasn't much that was magical about it, lucky is more like it. It took a "perfect storm" of losses from our rivals too get to atlanta.

Just like the magical loses it took for UF to win the national championship last season, and LSU to win it the year before, and UF to win it the year before.

Face it, there are only very rare cases when anyone says they didn't need another team to lose to have success.

Interesting, I was thinking more in terms of bowl games. Where the SEC east first team is in either the Sugar or Citrus Bowl, the 2nd team/choice is in the Outback, and the third team/choice is in the Peach/Chick Fillet Bowl. Just seems the Peach Bowl is where UT usually ended up.
