2009 Football Schedule

I believe THIS year's team could have gone 8-4 with just a couple of different offensive play-calls. Kiffin will win 8 games this year for the Vols. Not bad, but nothing to turn flips about.

Looks like a possible 6-6 record for 2009. What will that do to the recruiting for 2010?

Another troll. Where from this time? Florida? LSU? I love it that people create accounts to gripe about Tennessee and Kiffin and the fact that they had a nice signing and it's still not over. Tennessee is on it's way back to the top and you guys know that. You guys can see it happening right before your eyes and you can't believe it. Get ready SEC.

So another schedule debate, which obvisouly you have not looked at.
WKU- W
UCLA- W
FL-L
Ohio-W
AU- Probably a W
GA- Toss up, lost alot from this years team but probably a L
AL- L more than likely
South Carolina-W
Memphis- W
Ole Miss- Toss up, probably a L
Candy- W
KY- W
Theres 8 games that Tennesee should win pretty easy, win one or two you shouldnt and your looking at a 9-10 win season. To go 6-6 that would mean we lose to UCLA and SC. I just dont see that happening considering UCLA is not very good and was not very good last year and USC lost everybody from D and probably wishes they would have lost everybody from O but did lost their best player on O in McKinley and the RB.

good calls.
I agree, i think we suprise someone on that list.
Ole Miss, Bama, and Florida should not sleep on us.
We might actually get 2 outta 3 on them.
A guy can dream cant he??
Wouldnt it make yalls season to see tebow giving a speech at the end of the UT game in front of his home crowd?

I think w/o Stafford and Moreno in the GA backfield we can take advantage of them and squeak out a close win. Im not really buying into all of the Ole Miss hype, cause they've only had one "good" season, could be wrong though.

I know im going to be flamed for saying we could win 10 games this season, but oh well.

I'll take 8 wins as base line acceptable and be thrilled with anything more. Same with 2010 as we'll be playing a lot of young guys on OL and DT...not a recipe for great success in the SEC. 2011 we better be knocking the snot out of a bunch of peope.

I agree I think we will win 1 of the big three games.Although If you look at the Fl.game last year short feild for them and then giveing up.I don't see that from Dec.1st on out..

we definitely make a bowl game and I say we get 7-8 wins.

Unless it really was though that Crompton and Hardesty were beasts and were just hindered in confidence and skill and performance by clawson's offense, then I don't expect any dramatic improvement though some fans (hopefully just a few) will be clamoring for a saban-like 6-0 start w/ Kiffin's first year

...and I will walk to whatever part of bama you live in to bow down to you and acknowledge your omniscience (look it up) if the VOLS are 6-6 or worse. Now your part of this would be to walk into Neyland Stadium at high noon on a Saturday game day and challenge Coach O to an arm wrestling contest, plan on early Nov. when we pass the 6 game win total. Are you willing to take that wager? GO VOLS

What?

Saban was 4-2 in his first 6 games, and ended 7-6 and still got the #1 recruiting class.

I have Tennessee losing to Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss. I do not know what kind of trouble we are looking at with the new staff. Morley and Vinson are still on the team I think. One will definitely give the new coaches fits. The QB position is still in a mess. This could be a disaster. Coach O was the dumbness coach in the nation last year, and now the big orange fans are touting him as the second coming of Spurrier. I am in a wait and see mode. Will Pro coaching work in college. I don't know. Does anyone?

Sorry, i got my seasons mixed up. Meant though that we're not going to have a season like they did where at that point (when they were 6-2 before they fell apart the rest of the season) or have a 2nd year 12-0 or anything like that....we'll have a better season than last year and we'll be getting better overall but it's going to take a few years till we hit top 10 status i feel

I dont think we're that bad nor do i think our coaches will be that bad....

That does bring up an interesting topic though on if and how decimated our roster may become over the years with "no tolerance" policies for getting in trouble....we will probably lose some more players total than other schools over time due to this

8 wins would be my guess. We still don't have a proven QB. Although I'm going to guess that Crompton pulls an Ainge and matures way beyond where he was at last year. Don't see us, realistically doing much better. If we do, then :hi: to the Kiffin staff.!!!

I think we win the national championship and Eric Berry shocks the world by coming back hissr. year in order to make Tennessee the only back-to-back and 3-time BCS champion.
