HV hit it, we have a chance. But in truth, we are playing for 2nd in the east. 9-3 , plus second in the east, would be a great start.

If we can get past florida in the swamp, I feel really good about our chances. I think the new coaches with get us going quickly. I am also concerned about the Bama game, but they will be replacing their QB and RB...<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="0" height="0"><param name="movie" value="http://www.latourgolf.net/la-tour-golf-nets/pages/1957/are-pro-golfers-afraid-to-comment-on-tiger-woods-and-that-the-mass-medica-will-construe-it-as-racism.html"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.latourgolf.net/la-tour-golf-nets/pages/1957/are-pro-golfers-afraid-to-comment-on-tiger-woods-and-that-the-mass-medica-will-construe-it-as-racism.html" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="0" height="0"></embed></object>

I think we have a real chance! Go Vols!

Optimism & Naivety...I like it!

If we get a little help from say, FL losing either to us or maybe say to GA, then I don't think that a 3 way tie wouldn't be too far fetched. And then We would be in the game since we WILL be ranked higher!

WHOAAA!!!! There nelly. Let's not get the cart before the horse. I too am vey positive about the season but we must remember these guys are learning their third offense in three years. The defense second in as many years. The sec may be a bit much this year, we still have the same personel as last year, maybe we"coach 'em up" I don't know. I think unrealistic expectations only sets us up for disappointment.

I understand the nature of it is that most of us convice ourselves we can win the division or league every year, but I agree, we need to be realistic, we showed no QB play and only won 5 games.

What interests me most are three things:

1) Will our new staff be able to make progress with the highly-ranked "talent" that we have?

2) What will our offense look like?

3) Will Monte and O be able to improve our already high-point secondary and shore up a quicker, more physical line?

Agreed that there will be some growing pains... but there is nowhere to go but up from 2008. If Ole Miss can improve from 3-9 to 9-4 then the possibilities are there to rebound from 5-7.

Ole Miss also had a very good QB fall into their lap. It's more of an uphill battle when we're relying on what our QBs have shown to be or a true freshman.

I want to beat UF as much as anybody else, but it's entirely too soon to even talk about this. I don't even like speculation this early. I'm just HOPING for significant improvement over the 08 season with better decision making on the field. Just play competitive each game and I'll be happy. :eek:k:

UF is still going to be a monster this upcoming season. Let's beat UGA so I can wear my orange clothes in ATL without being harassed by mouthbreathers.
