They are just listing the JV game on the schedule. What's the big deal?

aren't there usually a few future Vols at Hargrave? maybe they just want to give people a head's up in case they want to do a little scouting?

I know playing Hargrave at home has to be a nice recruiting ploy. There are some guys on there UT would love to have (Quintin Coples, Leon Mackey).

Apparently they really screwed up Vinson there...I was surprised by that because I know how much we look to them for talent. Who are some of the better players that have prepped there? And, why did Vinson develop so many bad habits? Is that his own lack of discipline or a problem with their coaches?

The NCAA considers it a normal game, and anyone who plays will burn his redshirt season.

:eek:k:

It's not a normal game counting towards there record but it will count as far as the NCAA only allows 12 regular season games to be played by the player. So if a player has played in the past 4 games, like Berry or Vinson then they can't play in the JV game or it would put them over the top for the 12 game rule. But players like Nevin McKenzy(sp?) who missed a previous game or two can play to get some exp. Also it would knock you out of a redshirt too i assume.

12 games or 12 quarters? Just asking...

A college player can only play 12 regular season games per year, not counting conf championships or bowls. I think 12 quaters is for a medical redshirt but dont quote me on that.
