#2 ranked OLB commits to Vols!

He looks good. I'm glad Pruitt is bringing in some of his recruits. I wonder if he offered them playing time on their first year or not?

J.J. Peterson Ultimate Highlights - YouTube

His high school o-line looked better than ours on that last run for a TD lol (he played offense and defense).

I highly doubt he was offered anything. But I bet Pruitt has told these recruits that every position is up for grabs next year. And after watching last year I’m sure that is true. The best players will play and the others will sit. This should motivate not only recruits but also guys like kongbo who have done nothing but take up space. Not to pick solely on him, because there are definitely others that haven’t fulfilled expectations.

I said immediately after throwing my pity party at the disappointment of the Pruitt hire that I would be highly impressed if he could get our class inside the top 20.
Mission amazingly accomplished.
Now,if he proves he can coach them up and handle gameday duties, I'm 100% in.

I talked to one of my sources in the Atlanta area and he said JJ is the real deal. He is as good as advertised. We need a lot more like him

its pretty impressive considering the ESD, still coaching at Bama etc...the list of kids coming to visit between now and NSD....

there's a legit shot that this class is a solid top 10 class when it's all over.

the game day stuff will always be the ultimate measure, but in what you can judge so far, he's passing with flying colors.

According to Jimmy Hyams on Friday (FWIW) he basically said that. Peterson wanted to play with Shamburger and Blakely.

At the end of the day, I don't care how we got him, just that we got him. Plus, it's a nice pipeline to have 3 players from that school.

If Probst stays as Head Coach at Colquitt County (GA) UT should have a pipeline there because of the Pruitt-Probst connection. Peterson was a heavy Bama lean, because of Pruitt. Pruitt going to UT basically sent Peterson to UT. Kirby got the #1 OLB Anderson from Rome High (GA), the #8 OLB Tindall from SC, and is after two other top 10 national OLB's. Quay Walker (Crisp County GA) is a Bama lean, and Otis Reese is a Michigan committ even though he has never visited there. Speculation is that he is waiting to see if GA has room for him.
