Don't know a whole lot about Bart Harris. 6-4, 205-pound pocket passer. Held offers from Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois and Missouri State. Someone told me today that he was actually in town during the OV weekend as well.

Missouri QB commits to Tennessee as preferred walk-on

Senior quarterback Bart Harris of Belton (Mo.) High School announced Monday night on his Twitter account that he has committed to Tennessee as a preferred walk-on.

“Very excited to say I am verbally committed to the University of Tennessee!! #GoVols #RockyTop,” he tweeted.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Harris previously was committed to Nebraska as a preferred walk-on before reopening his recruitment on Dec. 4 following the firing of former Cornhuskers coach Mike Riley.

He has received scholarship offers from Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois and Western Illinois.

His film shows really good touch and accuracy on down field throws. Foot work look really good in the pocket also. Hope he has a real shot here. He is a big boy.

Being a real talent evaluator must be difficult because I just watched his film and if you told me he was a 4 star with 20 offers I'd say yeah that sounds about right.

He's big, accurate and has a cannon. PWO? Nice pickup, Pruitt!

FWIW, I'm somewhat familiar with the competition he played. The "Tigers" in his HUDL video were undefeated when they played and a very good football team that was expected to compete for the state title.

Tyler Brayish

Has a Dormady type release where he throws downfield and tends to step and lean left. That can be corrected but to get full zip on the ball, he has to step straight forward.

I am VERY confident in what I see here.

Here's a bonus, He has pretty quick feet and eludes the pass rush well. Likey

He's going to be a preferred walk-on. Got a buddy of mine from HS that coaches up in that area. I'll try to get some more info.

Kids worth a shot, I trust the coaches and the process. Sure can't get any worse than what we already have.

Happy for this kid... To walk on you have to be a brave kid... Good luck.
