One other name to keep an eye on is Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Smith. Tommy Thigpen was in Georgia to see him play last Friday night and we've been lead to believe there is mutual interest there moving forward.

As we mentioned earlier, we expect Tennessee to take just one more junior college defensive lineman and a reason why is we expect the Vols to take another high school defensive lineman as well. Along with Thomas, Tennessee is hard after South Carolina commitment Jordan Smith and he is someone that will likely see the Vols for an official visit.

It's not just Georgia the Vols are dealing with the absence of a head coach, count South Carolina in that group as well as the Vols continue to chase Jordan Smith, another likely official visitor this weekend. It isn't clear who all is in the picture for Smith, but we believe Tennessee firmly is and as an early enrollee there isn't much time.

Thigpen will return to Georgia Thursday, where he spent Tuesday seeing several guys like Nigel Warrior and Jordan Smith. Smith is still expected in this weekend and I believe it's noteworthy that this will be his first official visit. And, if he decides to be an early enrollee he has just one more weekend to make a visit somewhere else before the dead period. Could be something worth watching.
