The Class of 2016 running back is the younger brother of rising junior West Virginia running back*Andrew Buie, who led the Mountaineers in rushing as a sophomore with 851 yards and seven touchdowns on 179 attempts.

The guy who coached the elder Buie at West Virginia last year was now-Tennessee assistant coach Robert Gillespie. Jalin Buie has the opportunity to learn under the same man as his brother now as the Volunteers placed an offer on the table following Friday's summer camp in Knoxville.

"I kind of had a feeling (the offer was coming)," Buie said. "Coach Gillespie, he recruited my brother to go to West Virginia, so I kind of already had a relationship with him.

"I know I'm real comfortable around (Gillespie), and I can be myself around him.

Even though it is years before signs his name on an NLI, the elusive back said Tennessee is "definitely top 5" with North Carolina and Virginia Tech.

"Really, they run the ball…a lot. So, I think I'd be a perfect fit," said Buie, who was impressed by his first trip to Rocky Top.

"I like the facilities. I like the coaches. I like it.."They've got a lot more machines than other schools, a lot of restrictor machines. I like that."

Buie is teammates with Vol-offer-holding*Jeffery Holland*and*Kendrick Norton*from the Class of 2015. The Trinity Christian Academy crew plans to see Alabama, Auburn and LSU as well this summer.

New article on 247 has nothing really new. Same exact quotes from the above quoted Scout article.

Top 5 includes UNC, VT, and Tennessee.

Committed to AU this morning.

yeah I posted the info about him in the Norton tread. Leaked yesterday. TC has some talent but UF taking it all when the smoke clears. Buie is going to be a good one just too early to take him. Nee said he doesn't believe the commit will stick once UF or FSU start recruiting him.

Join the sinking ship at Florida or play for national championship contenders? Hmmm....
