Class of 2015? UT offered yesterday? Sheesh. 24 hours have passed. Why hasn't CJG locked this guy up already?

He's not 15 minutes from my house. Will def have to go watch a few of his games next season.

Just came off a visit from AU.

Gibson held an early offer from Tennessee, but with the coaching change he isn't sure he still holds that offer. He claims serious interest from Alabama, Auburn, Miss. State, Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina, Oregon and more.

Gibson plans to visit Alabama, Tennessee, Miss. State and Auburn again this summer. He doesn't have any timetable for a decision.

Nick Gibson camped in Knoxville on Saturday and earned his second offer as the Vols joined Mississippi State with the afforded opportunity. He's a 2015 running back from Pinson Valley (Ala.) High School.

He must be good if we have offered twice.

today from Scout...NOTE: Offer out to '15 RB
Tennessee continues to put out one scholarship offer after another. Nick Gibson camped in Knoxville on Saturday and earned his second offer as the Vols joined Mississippi State with the afforded opportunity. He's a 2015 running back from Pinson Valley (Ala.) High School that resembles Marlin Lane Jr. based on looks.

BTW Lebanon, I don't write them, I just post them

“It felt good,” Gibson said of the Volunteer offer. “I like it here at Tennessee and I just got my offer today. I like it at Tennessee. I was surprised at the time they gave it to me, but I was kind of expecting it.”

“We had some good hosts that toured us around and I really liked everything,” he said. “I liked the new part of the facility and the coaching staff. They have a new coaching staff and I like them. We got along real well and everything went well.

“The coaches and the player are really friendly and cool. They were easy to get along with. Everything stuck out to me. I like it. Not just the facilities, the players, the people, the environment — everything.”

“First, how the people are — good people,” Gibson said of what is most important in his recruitment. “Academic program too, because I have to have something in the future when football isn’t there anymore. A good football program and a good coaching staff too. People that care, you are an athlete, but help me good off the field too.”

NICK GIBSON RB, 5-11/192, PINSON VALLEY, ALA.
VISIT RECAP: One of the top running backs in the South for the class of 2015 with offers from the Vols, Mississippi State and South Carolina, Gibson left Knoxville very high on the Vols. After his visit, Gibson told Volquest.com that Tennessee is at the top of the list for his services along with instate school Alabama. Although he grew up an Alabama fan, he said he knows just because he was a fan growing up doesn't mean it's the right place for him as a school. He's known Tommy Thigpen since he started high school and that should help the Vols in this one.

QUOTABLE: "It was great. The place looked beautiful. The coaching staff was nice. It really felt like a place I could play at. They treated me and my family nice, the coaching staff. I do like it up there at Tennessee. I like their academics and they have a good football program. It's going to be hard to beat Tennessee. But, I'd say Alabama and Tennessee are tied."

just spoke to his dad...
he loved the university and the coaches.. his dad sent me a pic of him and Butch...
anyway... reason we were tied with Bama is kid grew up a bama fan and always wanted to play there.
UT now leads.... his dad said his exact words were when he came home: "I'm going there to school."
