UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

LB Reagan Williams, Jackson, Ohio (2015) Normally I do not profile four-star prospects in this section - opting for more under-the-radar or newly emerging prospects, but the four-star Williams is worth a breakdown because playing at a small school in north central Ohio, he has not gotten the attention his fellow four-stars have at this stage of the process. Two things we knew about Williams coming into the season: his size is legit (he was measured 6-foot-2, 235 pounds at the Cincinnati Rivals Camp in April) and he has above average athleticism for that size. We saw in the off-season that Williams was comfortable in space and he was adept at covering backs and tight ends. Junior film shows this as well, but it also shows Williams is very good at picking his way through traffic to reach the ball carrier. He closes on the football quickly and runs very well for a linebacker of his size. Although he is a sure tackler, Williams can improve by using his large frame to become a more devastating tackler. Williams moves around the entire front seven in high school, but he is an ideal MIKE linebacker in college.

Well boys and girls I might come in handy on this one, I'm from Jackson Ohio, graduated 2006, we've never had a kid go to a big D1 school. And he is rated at a 4 star? That's wild, I'm just a little stunned. I've got two friends who are unpaid assistants, like helpers or whatever for the team, they played when we were in highschool. I'm really stunned his name has popped up on here, I go back once a month to see my old lady's family, so I might be able to find out some things overtime if we end up offering. Obviously a lot of super lame OSU fans in the area, so they would be the heavy favorite if they were to offer, I'm assuming anyways.

Sorry to bump this, but this kid went to the same High School as me, and we have never had a kid, never ever, go to big Power 5 FBS school to play football. So apparently Stanford offered and he committed to them. 4* LB from Ohio, I'm kind of surprised if he is good enough for Stanford that he didn't end up at OSU. But I guess it's not over until it's over.

Once again, apologies, I'm just shocked my little hick town has a kid good enough to play ball at Stanford.

No problem. I keep waiting for Soddy-Daisy to produce another Vol. I think the last on was Victor McClure (2000)

NapTown,
I was doing some trolling on Rivals and seeing if anyone from SEO besides Joey Burrow had any offers and low and behold I found this Reagan Williams from kid from Jackson pretty awesome for you guys having a guy go major D1 . Just thought I would share I am from Gallipolis, and played for Gallia Academy in 1999-2002. Small world.

Yeah it is a small world!! burrows did work in the state championship game. Athens never made it that far, kid had six TDs and they lost by four. Like 56-52. Heck of a game. Of course he is going to OSU- Boooooo. I wonder if he will, with JT locking up the job for the next several years..

Reagan suppose to go to Stanford, or at least as of now. I still can't believe a kid from Jackson Is going to a huge D1 program.

Gallia was always a good game, usually beat us but it was always a fun game. I was in Jackson High from 2002-2006. So rigt after you got out I was going in lol. The glory days
