Took an unofficial visit to Knoxville for the Vandy game. He is somewhat under the radar at the moment, but the guy is a workhorse. Obviously not the best competition in KY, but he put up some good numbers in 2013: 1450 yds and 23 TDs.

A 4.6 40 for a RB? No way he's a take at RB with (what is most likely) a hand timed 4.6 40.

Let's hope 40 times are not always accurate. We have alot of kids who were supposed 4.4's who can't run down a 270lb TE taking it 60 yards to the house.

People need to stop worrying so much about 40 times listed on recruiting sites. Theres no telling when it was timed, and if something happened. What if he slipped coming off of the line?

Not every listed 40 is accurate. See Derrick Henry's ESPN 40 time. 4.72
Football Recruiting - Derrick Henry - Player Profiles - ESPN

They're usually not accurate, but they usually end up being slower than stated. There are a few examples of it going the other way, but there are far more to the slower side.

I wouldn't put much stock in a 40 time for a rising Senior in high school that was probably recorded from his sophomore year.

4.6 isn't bad, especially for a kid his age. Let me remind some of you, good NFL RBs run 4.6< combine times.

A list of 4.6 or lower 40 times:
Frank Gore
Alfred Morris
Montee Ball
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
Le'Veon Bell
JacQuizz Rodgers
Arian Foster (didn't run at combine, but his official time is listed at 4.68)
Pierre Thomas (same as Arian, wasn't invited to combine though)

Those are just starters/2nd backs off the top of my head (I looked up to confirm).

Bottom line, speed isn't everything. This kid isn't even a senior in HS.

TL;DR, also for reference I'm not in an altered state of consciousness :)

I'd love to get in on the LB's from BG; Brown and Smith.

Eli Brown tore his ACL this year after decommitment from Vanderbilt, but will be a good OLB when he fills out some more he has pretty good speed and doesn't shy away from contact.

Emmitt Smith is good size for a MLB, if he can increase his agility and lateral quickness, he will be excellent at the next level.

It will be nice to see these two develop further. I'm excited for their senior years, no doubt.

I loved watching him play LB

This kid absolutely lives football. He has put his team on his shoulders and carried them to victory multiple times this season. He's going to be huge whereever he goes. I for one would love to see him wearing orange instead of having to defend against him.

You hit the nail on the head. Speed is nice in the open field. But, if you are not strong enough to break tackles your not going to make to that open field. Quez is a consistant back that finds ways to make it to the open field.
