'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

I think after getting a look at Gurley and Marshall he'll know for sure his PT will be limited at best barring injury. I think we are very much in it for him.

Just don't see it. He never came up for an official. And he named Bama & UGA as his final 2. Would be the mother of all 'smokescreens' if he signed an LOI w/ UT.

Just looking for clarification not an arguement. Can you please explain the bolded part. Ingram was only a freshman in 2008 when UA went 12-2, but he was a sophmore and Richardson was a freshman in 2009 when UA won its 1st title under Saban.

Not accurate on my part. My point was Bama didn't have the same quality depth at RB in Saban's 1st several seasons as he has built now. I was saying the comparisons of Ingram's & Richardson's early playing time was due more to necessity as opposed to the luxury Bama currently has at the RB position. Keep forgetting 2007 was Saban's only rough year at Bama.

I dint know that "sad" is the right word, but I agree that you do have to always keep in mind what kind of medium this is and how little accountability there is. Just the nature of the beast when there's anonymity involved unfortunately.

While I understand your point GAVol, I respectfully disagree and would prefer the mods were more active in managing the posts and interaction of posters. Anonymity should not mean that general courtesy and rules for conversing with others should not apply.

I've been a member for a while, and a browser long before posting, and can assure you there has been a significant change in posts that are allowed and considered acceptable today versus a few years ago. Many of the forum posting rules are largely ignored which makes me wonder why they even exist (name calling, offensive language, etc. is prevalent). It now seems almost the norm to make derogatory comments toward others (especially visitors) when it is not deserved or necessary. Perhaps posters think a good insult will gain them a few "likes".

Most people join VolNation to either get information or share information... whether it be recruiting, sharing the excitement of game day, political discussions, or just generally fun topics... plain and simple. The layout is very user friendly which I think is what many posters enjoy. None of these benefits are negatively impacted by simple enforcing the rules that supposedly exist. "How" and "what" people choose to post (relative to language and common courtesy) is not what attracts members... though it certainly seems to be what drives some people away.

Fortunately I'm thick skinned enough that I couldn't care less as to what others say, but it is very easy to understand why many "good" posters are either no longer active or are becoming less active. As much as I enjoy VolNation... imo it is trending negative big time and I sincerely hope it changes direction.

Let the flaming begin.

There's probably not a Vol fan on this site who I wouldn't enjoy talking Vol football with over a beer (or whatever). Having said that, I worry about the damage being done by some of the posts. I've found I do better with my wife when I tell her how pretty she looks and how lucky I am to have her. She's like most people. I wonder what would happen if for 30 days we only said nice things about the people we want to attract to UT?

Players should not get the venom of the butthurt imo.

I look forward to following guys like Kamara, Green, and Lawson who I found to like the way they went through this process. I think Kamara is special, and wish him great success accept against the vols.

I'll say one thing for this thread: it has helped develop VolNation's essay writing skills more than any other I can remember.

Not just the ones that we want to attract but the ones that are already here. I cringe thinking about the family member of a player reading some of the crap people say about the team on here.

People say they want to hear what MZTerry has to say, but I've seen a couple people talking about how Croom can't cut it in the SEC because he didn't play this year.

People get surly every time an opposing fan shows up, but none of them dog good players the way UT fans do.

:clapping: I would love it if this would happen and it probably would help! You my friend are onto a new concept on Volnation. It would truly be a revelation and refreshing as well! I commend you sir!!! :peace2:

RBs generally carry more body weight. So along with Bama's PED and conditioning program they can create large strong athlete's who run 4.1 40s. Look for them to convert some of these genetic experiments to WR.

I see someone is still butthurt over this past year. you might want to go look at some facts before making another uneducated comment.

How stupid can people be. He has shoulder surgery and red shirted. He is a stud and will be an excellent player for us.

No problem that is why I asked. In regards to that I would add that Yeldon may have got less play time this season if it was not for Fowler and Hart both getting injured.

You attract more flies with honey than you do vinegar.

Didn't read but I'm sure it was liberating.

That's right. Why would we want to be nice to one another when we can be complete jacka$$e$. Also, putting recruits and your university down is completely the way to go. This is great.

AK and Green are two very talented kids. They are 2 that I want to see develop. They both break arm tackles about the same IMO, Green is a bit faster, and AK is a bit more elusive.

I really wish they would reconsider UT, but I think they will be exciting to watch on Saturdays regardless of where they end up.
I see them on many Fantasy teams after college.
I look forward to seeing which one was really the best RB in the class.
Have a great career guys.
I hope you trip over your laces if your playing against UT though.

I could handle losing to Bama or UGA if he had just OV'd. I think he would have liked what he saw/heard.

Like I've told you in the past you deeming something 'factual' or 'uneducated' has no bearing on anything to me. Your credibility is like sasquatch, it doesn't exist.

And you better hope that there isn't an investigation, because this is something I do have some knowledge of. If one of these pharmaceutical groups pegs Bama's football team to get themselves leniency, the NCAA could outsource another unaffiliated group to test and would know what to test for.

There is no butthurt. Because everyone other than Bama fans realize that Bama is historically the most corrupt program in CFB history. Truth is Bama is the butt of jokes and their program is the reason the NCAA exists in the capacity that it does.

Spin away. Looking forward to it. I'll be trying some Deer antler imported straight from a pick up out of Tuscaloosa while I wait.

Green and Kamara should both get their heads screwed on straight and commit to Tennessee. They think otherwise right now; I don't care. They should change their minds.
