'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

The nation’s No. 4 tailback prospect is tired of all the depth chart talk. He has remained adamant that he will not make a decision based on the rosters.

“I don’t care at all,” Kamara said. “I am running out of ways to say it.”

For example, Georgia announced on Wednesday that redshirt sophomore Ken Malcome would be transferring to look for more playing time. Kamara was ambivalent.

“That has no effect on me,” Kamara said. “If he would have stayed I would have still felt the same. With Ken Malcome gone I am not like, “Wow, now I am more interested in Georgia,’ or ‘I am leaning towards Georgia now that Ken is gone.’ It doesn’t matter.”

If he wants to be at UT, he will be at UT. I f he doesn't want to be at UT, he won't be.

I believe I've summed that up pretty nicely.

This is a tough one. Although he made a nice jump, I think Alvin Kamara put himself in the discussion for the top running back in the country. Kamara may not have the size that Derrick Green or Kelvin Taylor possess, but he is faster with better burst and more of a big-play threat in the passing game. He can be a home run threat in the kick return game. It's that versatility that makes him the most complete back in this class in my opinion.

He's not coming here. Let this thread fall into the abyss. He has no desire to be apart of building something. He prefers the easier route of a sure thing.

Yeah, lets bash a kid just because he does not want to go to UT. You have no clue why he is not coming here over other schools, and to just assume that it is that he prefers an easier route is absurd.

Surely not, the people that were saying on here they prefferred Kamara to green were only saying it because at the time it looked like we might have a better chance with Kamara.

Ugh, what's that noise.

Someone beating their chest on top of their self made pedestal.

Glad you feel such a bond with Kamara, but like the previous poster said if he isn't coming here, why keep bumping the thread?

Who is bashing him? I don't care about him. Don't wish bad on him. Don't really care one way or another. He is irrelevant to me. He is not a vol or is he considering being a vol. Wouldn't even grant us an official visit. His thread shouldn't be cluttering up a vol board. His thread should be in the ncaa forum.

+1
Not bashing anybody, just not coming here and doesn't want to even visit. And he is going to one of our rivals so just let it go until he picks one. I wanna know about our RBS!

It appears to be a 2 team battle for Kamara but he did say that he is considering a midweek visit afeter next weekend between UT, Clemson, and FSU. Said the 1st weekend in Feb he has a family oblogation.

That's interesting...I thought he hated Clemson, when he visited many months ago. Maybe just wanting to have one last hoorah before the process ends...I don't blame him...I would too. Maybe he will choose TN as his last visit, and we can give him something to think about.

I say we promise him #47 and name him AK 47. Then shoot him out of the back field behind our dynamite line! This would sell!!!

I don't think giving up on a quality back is a great idea.
I'd love to have him...he's worth fighting for.
We still want you kamara!

This is not an either/or issue with Kamara and Green. We need both and probably another as I do not see a SEC back on our roster. And to be honest, I would take 2-3 a year until we start seeing backs like Lewis, Henry, Stephens, Houston, Riggs, Stewart, Graham, etc in our backfield.

Not gonna get him, move on. He won't even choose to OV here.

Not really. I just do not want to reach at RB just to have +1 gain on the roster. If the backs do resembled previously, then pass and work hard in 2014.

So just pass on RB altogether is your opinion. You also said we don't have an SEC RB on the roster. How exactly are we going to compete for titles if we have no run game? I myself do not see that playing out so well.
