'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Oh man, this thread is going to meltdown when he picks someone other than UT...

I just can't believe so many people were confident we were going to be strongly in his recruitment just because his good friend is on campus.

The only glimmer of happiness I see out of this is it's a long way to NSD and according to MZT, he'll be on campus a few times this year.

I think AK is having fun. I also am not so naive to think he is a vol lock either. However, if our coaches want him(and they should), I still believe he will be watching this team this year to see what they will do. Even if we do well running the ball, I do not think it means he is a Vol. I think we will be considered more strongly than we are now by him. Unless another school he really wants to go to is pushing him to commit, I don't think he will till later. No insider and no real reason. It is just what I think.

The coaches' focus and VN's focus are quite different.

Based on the fact that he said that the coaches said they want him to come, I would say he is an option. I think Folston is as well, along with the higher rated backs. I don't think Kamara was an option. OCI, your thoughts?

Alvin Kamara let me know he will be at UGA on Friday, Alabama on Sunday and Clemson next Thursday. Big visits for him...

He's good friends with Ryan Jenkins, who was with him last weekend at the opening and commited to Clemson on Sunday.

If the above quote is true, that would put him on campus next weekend with Fuller, Adams, O'Daniel and Nkemdiche at Clemson.

I don't think he ends up at Clemson, just general observations. I really think the Crowell situation put UGA squarely out in front with him. No insider information, just my opinion.

My understanding now is he is all UGA and even told the UA staff if what is floating around is correct. Also that he is visiting CU to habg out with Jenkins. But in short something major would have to happen for him not to end up at UGA. IMO
