'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Well playing college ball with your best friend is really important to a lot of kids.

No doubt that it will help, but he also grew up in Georgia so that automatically makes the Dawgs a factor. Hopefully, the Croom connection is a huge factor, but anyone that says he is a lock because of this are just foolish...

^ This right here! Georgia started getting interested after they saw that they will most likely miss on their top 2 choices. They put the full court press on him this weekend and still didn't get a commitment...hmmm! Alvin is not a 3rd choice type of back.

We talked about learning how to read the board. Once he gets that down packed, he'll see that he's definitely a TOP priority in the RockyTop.!

I don't know if Mrs. Croom has provided this info yet and I also don't feel like reading through the whole thread. Has Alvin been up to Knoxville yet? That is a serious question, no jokes on that.

Hey Buddy, YES! I brought him last June and I'll be bringing him back with me for the Orange and White game, and I've also told him that I would take him up there ANY time he gets ready to go on his own; or just rollin' with me

Although MZTERRY would love for this young man to come to UT I believe she wouldn't pressure him into picking UT and I am glad she is not letting any of us know about his decision until he is ready to make it. He doesn't need his thunder stolen.

I would NEVER take this time from him . I'll tell y'all the same thing I told him..... Whatever decision he make although I would LOVE for it to be UT; I'm behind HIM 110%... and I will wear VOLS gear to every game and sit in the middle of the student section representing, so if he does not want me to embarrass him and he knows I will.... HE might want to make that bright orange blend in where it belongs..:eek:lol::post-4-1090547912:

Holy cow. It's like the board has been taken over by middle school kids.

Kamara will go to the place HE is most comfortable attending.

To make any statement (unless he personally told you) that he is definitely going here, there, or anywhere is not only stupid and childish, but also naive.

Don't put words in Jason's mom's mouth and don't make proclamations based on speculation. Just let the kid enjoy his recruitment and lets all enjoy the recruiting process.

It's cool DTO; FOlks who know me know NOT to get out of hand.... They'll be sittin' in the corner with the lashing I'll put out there.:gun::nono:

I know you treat Alvin like he is your own so like any parent you just want him to be happy. You are a good mentor and no matter what school he decides to go to I know you'll have his back. He gets some help that a lot of other recruits don't get. He gets schooled on how to see through all the crap in the recruiting game that will allow him to make the best choice for him.

Since you have a son already at UT, wouldn't it be a violation for you to provide transportation or food to a prospective student athlete? Just wondering because I believe if you provided any services that would be labeled as a booster of the UT AD.

Who knows??? I don't believe the NCAA even knows what is in their own book. The thing is only 700 pages long and has some of the dumbest rules.

Think it is ok given there is an established pre-existing relationship there but that is from memory

Yeah, I think you are right, I saw that with someone else last year. There isn't any consistency with the NCAA with the penalties they actually do handout.

Troll 3.jpg...go away!

She can provide transportation as many times as she wants to. She obviously has a pre-existing relationship with Alvin. The NCAA doesnt nor will ever ask someone to end a personal relationship with someone.

Well, my son isn't a student of UT, yet, and finally someone asked a question that couldn't answer... Ummm Gotta look into that.
