Sweet! He plays a mile down the road from my house. I will have to go check him out this fall… Of course, while I wear the colors of the big orange!

Yep, it's a shame. He had the ability....

Definitely. I still think he does. I just think he has a mental block going on or something. you dont go from making highlight catches all the time to not being able to catch the ball at all. I found it really weird. At least we Have Wright and Hunter. And I would almost bet money we draft another receiver this year, especially if the rumors of losing Washington because of the salary cap are true. honestly I wouldn't mind the titans taking Jordan Matthews if they could get him a little later.

I wouldn't mind Matthews either. He always seemed to find a way to be open, even on a bad team and against good opposition. He's a great receiver and just has that ability to get open you can't teach. He kinda reminds me of Marvin Harrison like that. He's not the fastest guy, but can find that hole to give a quarterback a window.

Jordan Matthews to the Titans would be a massive home run. He's an offensive weapon and he already lives in town.

He surprised me with his 4.46 40 at the combine. Much faster than I thought he would be. But I guess time to stop hijacking this thread

Per scout, said offer was surprising/exciting. Coaches stood out the most. Said we have amazing facilities and plans to "for sure" return for another visit. Said it was probably the best visit he has been on so far

Sweet! Now, maybe some of the coaches will come to Newnan to recruit him and establish relationships with the coaches there. I will have to put on my big orange and try to run into them when they come this way.

Just watched his film, kid is a ball player. He runs the ball hard and ain't afraid of contact. Not yo bad on defense either.

I hear ya. The few players that have come from Newnan high school recently and played big time college ball have gone to UGA...the Ogletree twins and Tray Matthews. Guess it would be considered a UGA pipe....better not say it.

Britt, who’s being recruited by UT to play cornerback, visited Tennessee for the first time Saturday after staying in contact with running backs coach Robert Gillespie in recent weeks, and he said the Vols made a strong first impression on him. Britt spoke highly of Tennessee’s coaches and facilities, and he admittedly was excited by the offer from the Vols, although he now claims 11 total offers.

“It was great. I had a really good time. I enjoyed it a lot,” said Britt “We went over to the locker room — the game-day locker room — and tried on the jerseys, looked at a video. Then, Coach (Butch Jones) came up to me and told me that I had the offer. “It was really exciting — like scoring-a-touchdown exciting, winning a big game. I knew it was a possibility. I didn’t expect it, but I hoped for it.”

“(Jones) told me to get back up here for another visit (and said) the more I come, the more comfortable I’ll be, and that I had the offer,” "I was keeping in touch with the running backs coach on Twitter, and he wanted me to get up here and I wanted to come up and see everything, so I came up for the visit and I enjoyed it a lot.”

“I think I'll remember the coaches,” he said. “I think it’s a turning point for this team. I think they’re headed in the right direction — all the stats with academics and games they lost last year. They were all close games, and I just think Coach Butch is a really good coach. ... I think it went just as good as any other visit, if not better. “I really liked all the facilities. I was surprised. I think their facilities are second to none. They’re doing a really good job.”

Britt said he doesn’t “have any standouts” at this point among the teams pursuing him, but he expects to return to Tennessee for another visit before long — perhaps as early as this spring. “I think I’ll be back soon,” he said.
