Citra, Fla. may be in the backyard of the University of Florida but it's Florida State that has the early lead for North Marion High's top defensive playmaker. Class of 2015 linebacker De'Amontae Jackson recently added offers from Alabama and Tennessee to go with the Seminoles and Miami but isn't shy when talking Florida State.
"I grew up liking them and I like the city," Jackson said. "They were the first to offer and Coach Randy Sanders is my main guy right now. I think if I was to sign anywhere it would be FSU right now."
Tennessee continues to flood Jackson's mailbox in an effort to make an impression on Sunshine State star. "They've been trying to get me on the phone," Jackson said. "I've been getting letters and they send hand-written cards and they want me to call them but it's so many coaches reaching out that I haven't had time to get back with them."
"I want to get to Florida State again, Miami, Tennessee and Alabama," he said. "I would like to get to Notre Dame, too, but I don't know if I can make that long trip. But Georgia, South Carolina and West Virginia are the other top ones I want to visit."
