He was repping Wisconsin a lot during the O-D AA game.

In an interview with Wisconsin's 247 site three days ago:

"I'm committing to Wisconsin," Evans told Evan Watkins of 247sports. "It felt like home, it's home to me. I felt like God brought me there for a reason. I think it's a special place. I want to be something different. That's why I chose them."

Rivals article on 1/3 where he raves about Wisconsin and says he's 100% committed to UW. But I'm glad to see the staff is still going after top DL. Get him, Butch!

Offense-Defense Bowl: Top Performers

DT CRAIG EVANS, SUN PRAIRIE (WISC.)
The four-star defensive tackle was a disruptive force all game long, blowing up play after play while racking up tackles as well. The Wisconsin commit will fit perfectly in the B1G, where he will draw attention from multiple offensive linemen and help free up his teammates to make plays when he's not doing the same.

"I'm told he's originally from Mississippi, so he might have some interest in returning to the South."

Hmm....should we take it as a sign that we will take another DLineman in this class or is this just a backup plan?

Has there been anything new with him other than some fan tweeting him?

We just offered him today, and he committed to Wisconsin on 1/3/2013.

I do like the fact that we're going to at least try to measure his interest.

Well, what's "there" is we lost DaVonte Lambert, and we need another DL.

Have we offered a bunch of committed DL's out of the blue lately? I know a couple are remotely still in play like Valentine and Williams (DE) but not many new offers in the 14 class.
