Just for clarification, a meniscus tear and an MCL tear are two different things. The meniscus is the cartilage in the knee joint, the padding that keeps the bones from rubbing against each other. The MCL is the Medial Collateral Ligament and is the ligament that runs from the femur to the tibia along the inside of the knee joint to help stabilize the joint. An MCL tear is a much more serious injury.
