That argument would be sound if the absence of those offensive playmakers affected the outcome. Their white 3rd string running back ran well they just didnt run him enough. Ga was not injury riddled on d but gave up over 40.
I couldn't watch the game because I was working. I know he's just one player but they are without their starting safety. And that's a lot of fire power on offense. I'm not making excuses for them but I think they would have won if they would have been mostly healthy.
Come on y'all. Anyone with eyes could see how injury plagued UGA was. He wasn't making excuses he was stating a fact. They were without their 5 big playmakers. They had their third string running back. You all know if we were in a similar situation Volnation would be making excuses like no other. Sure, They underachieve a lot but Missouri is a good team and they ran into a hurt UGA team. Anyone could see that.
your right they have 3 wr injured and STILL have the luxury to play 2 sr and a jrat wr. Woe is me with Butch being relegated to starting true and redshirt freshmen at wr.
I know I get that. I wasn't saying anything about us. What I'm saying is people we're knocking him for making excuses, when people make excuses for losses on here all the time. Hell, I've seen people make excuses for us losing because of our freshmen receivers.
Personally, I've watched Richt underachieve for years. If I were a recruit, I couldn't buy into any type of championship mentality that Richt might try to sell. He's had the players on more than one occasion to challenge for a NC, but he never has. That's not to say that Butch is going to win a NC here at some point, but he hasn't consistently underachieved and grown comfortable with it either. Richt has no sense of urgency imo because his seat seems safe. Even when it's supposedly warm, it never seems like it really is. Dawg fans appear extremely content with mediocre. Mediocre, imo, being winning records but never really vying for a championship. My competitiveness just doesn't allow for me to think that championships are not that important. So you have a good w/l season, at the end of the year, if you aren't sporting the NC, you're still just an also-ran. Richt never seems to leave the front porch.

Think that was the point. A guy who knocks on the door alot but never makes it in. Barely doesnt matter. Fla has owned his ass for the most part just like they did Fulmer. He eventually tore the door off the hinges though*
Ding, ding, ding.... we have a winner. You'll receive your free bogo Big Mac coupon sometime in the next 15 years.
Richt is in what, year 13 or 14? Getting close still means not getting it done. Richt recruits by selling his faith to grandmas, not by winning championships on the field. I would just hope recruits see this. Richt seems like a genuinely nice guy, but if you're a star recruit, it seems you'd be more concerned in playing for a coach that helps you improve, not makes Granny feel more comfortable by telling her what she wants to hear. Granny will be lots of happy when you buy her that new house with NFL money. But that's jmo.
Post on 247 showing the most schools with starting players in the NFL. We were representing, we were 4th. UGA was 1st. IF you are trying to say they don't put players in the league, that's an ignorant statement.
