Barton Simmons' explanation on why he changed his prediction.
"I picked Malone to Georgia all the way back in May but I recently changed that prediction to Florida State. My reason for that was I started to question how much room Georgia had for him and how hard they would be recruiting him consequently.
I also felt that based on who i had talked to and talking to Josh that the visit to Florida State went well, and I had received some indicators that FSU was trending. Well I'm back on the UGA train. I'm now hearing that while FSU is likely to get an official, they aren't likely to be his final destination. And it also sounds like Georgia will have room for him.
I continue to think it's a two-team race as things stand right now. I think Georgia is one of the teams and I had thought FSU was the other but that's no longer my impression. I don't know who the other main contender is. SImply by process of elimination, I think Vandy could be the other team but I haven't gotten any confirmation from anywhere to give me much confidence in that.
Tennessee has definitely made a push of late and could be a team to watch but I still have my doubts that the Vols have gone from out of consideration to top 2."
He hasn't a clue.
I agree that no one really knows and that we have just as good a chance as anyone at this point.
Just for kicks imagine this next year....
A WR rotation of Malone, Lauderdale, North, Kameel Jackson and let's say, oh I don't know... Dominique "freakin" Booth?
I know there are others in the stable, but that's some serious talent and speed just right there... the future is very bright at WRU.
Fun to watch
Whoever says UT has a shot is all that matters. If someone says the Vols lead, they are without a doubt in the know. If anyone says that Tennessee is not in the mix, they are full of it!
And this goes for any recruit who even mentions Tennessee.
The only part of Sumner county I'm not crazy about is Madison. There are quite a few bad areas in that town. Rivergate mall has went downhill as well.

Really hope Croom blossoms and soon. I kinda thought of him as one "in the stable" primarily cause CBJ recently called Croom a work in progress and has a long way to go. He's one of my favorites and I hope the light comes on as soon as possible for him.
Probably more truth to this post than any I've read on volnation
Pretty sure he played in a game last year, and burned his RS.Croom is on his way. He's just a RS Freshman learning a new system, some learn faster than others. Remember he was out some of spring/summer with an injury. The best part about Croom is that he's coachable and works hard. He's going to be just fine, he'll learn best on the field this fall. JMO
