SIAP. On Malone.

"Brent answered most of it so I wont be redundant. Thigpen has taken over Malone's recruitment along with Jones. Thig is one of the finest recruiters in the country. He lives it. That's a factor with Malone. Other recruits won't really sway Malone but he and Gaulden are in the same program so they workout and study together. They are friends so that won't hurt down the line. As Brent mentioned Josh is a quiet kid, a deep thinker. There won't be much info out there from him. So that makes people nervous. That includes coaches. He wants to play early so he is working to be an EE. He wants to be sure he is a fit for the offense that he will be playing in. His parents are amazing people so he will make a good decision."

SIAP but ...

I just noticed 3 predictions for FSU on 247 in the last week or so. I know, I know, those predictions are a joke. Sometimes they're an indicator of something bigger behind the scenes. Are you guys aware of anything with FSU and Malone? The other posts today point to a positive trend for UT.

Almost no chance those recent predictions are based on anything being told to them by Malone. As was stated, he is very quiet and reserved with his recruitment. Nobody by his family knows exactly what he is thinking and it will most likely stay that way until the day he commits.

If Malone's big factors for coming here include relationships with the coaches and players (as mentioned in the Hubbs response) there is no reason why we don't have a realistic shot to land him. We're talking about joining a legendary group of Tennessee prospects getting this program back to where it deserves to be....what kid wouldn't want to participate in that?

I'm not sweating this one because Malone hasn't tipped his hat either way I think we are in it as much as everyone else

Seems like the recruiting process nowadays is all about the flash and "the love" (I hate that phrase). Fans just dont know how to respond to a kid who, like Josh, is quiet and doesn't really turn the process into an attention-grabbing circus. Much respect to the young man for how he is handling things.

The only negative aspect of his recruiting has been from the keyboard of the Vandy247 writer ... and you can understand why.

Kingsport resident myself. Lunch sometime to talk cruitin?

Icing on the cake. By the time Malone decides, we will almost have the entire class (may have to wait on Hendrix), and it would be a perfect ending. If we add Hendrix and Malone late, our class has to be top 5.

Who are the other teams that are strongly in this one? Georgia, Florida St, Vandy, ND. Anyone else?

I hope that is when he does visit if we have a good showing against them it could sway him more in our favor I'm still not giving up on Malone until he signs
